And now I can't stop laughing at the mental image of Stephen Harper coming out of a tube in a mario outfit doing bye bye.

I´m also super hyped for the Olympic Games in Tokyo,Japan now after the Teaser they showed. I love this country and Im sure it will be one of the greatest events (if not even the best) ever. It will be a great mix between modern and traditional elements which Japan is known for.

Also that Bronze wrestling match between Uzbekistan and Mongolia was pretty strange. I think it was a clear case of fleeing and I don't really have any sympathy. There might have been some inter-country rivalry that caused some of it.

Will the event actually be -in- Tokyo, or more like outlier cities? I'm curious about where they're gonna build the Olympic Park.

At least other countries actually care enough about Basketball to have teams. Baseball was worse, but I doubt Basketball will last very long. Unless the US is funneling giant wads of cash to the IOC for it or something. Football obviously refers to the sport where 22 men kick a spherical ball around using their foot, and not that rugby lookalike XD

Of course, everyone ignores that New York state is often the #1 customer of everything we produce. i've competed with other canadians for contracts with american companies and won simply because i don't mindlessly and continuously USA-bash. i'd add american christians to that list. i'm not religious at all.. i don't follow it.. read about it.. i don't know many details about any religions. i do know that its open season on american christians. u can trash the shit out of anything christian and everyone is supposed to laugh. i believe in the separation of church and state. that's all churches not just the christian church.

I mean hey at least most people outside the US have a good or fair opinion of Californians which is what I am so I can't take the USA bashing TOO personally, I bash people from other states all the time and I know they do it to us too. Just part of the world.

For a thread revolving around nations competing against each other I think this one has been quite tame. Point some of these comments out I want to know if I am just used to this sort of thing or if you are exaggerating.

This was then penalized by the judges, awarding the medal to his opponent. The reaction of the outraged mongolian coaches is legendary. The croud also starts chanting Mongolia in support lol https://streamable.com/v9ki (prude british commentator alert) This is golden :DDD

There is a reason why the Mongolian doesn't give his hand to the referee at the end. He protests the result. The fact that he congratulates the Uzbek is more like: "This result is rigged. But it's not your fault"

My way of seeing it that he doesnt stand next to the ref because he is bitter at himself for screwing it up and wants to disappear in a bottomless hole.

Though in wrestling not giving your hand at the hand actually is the sign for "I protest the result". If it wasn't for that I would definitely agree with you.

FYI Japan has a pretty sizeable population of Brazilians too because alot of the third gen Jap-Brazilians and Brazilians in general started moving to Japan as fresh labor when Japan was peaking economically.
