Put me in the not surprised camp Nah, Kaep actually had a good game as a QB all things considered -- particularly the rust and numerous dropped balls. The real problems that the Niners have are 1) horrific play at linebacker (the Bills had over 300 yards rushing, which is just absurd), and 2) terrible coaching on both offense and defense. Chip Kelly and his staff have demonstrated zero ability to make adjustments at half time to keep the team in it. The Niners have actually played their competition very close and very well in the first halves of games. Where everything routinely goes to shit in the second half.

Kap has had so many surgeries its hard for him to get his body into NFL level playing condition. if they cut you open and can't use an arthroscope it takes a lot out of your body.. that torn labrum repair thing ain't like getting your wisdom teeth pulled...its rough.

Meanwhile, the one guy in the corner is thinking "maybe we should stop scheduling the Jets, Texans, and Bears in prime time. Nah..." I saw it as well and it was a horrible bit of officiating. Sherman was all over Jones. I didn't think Atlanta was much going into last week but they were really impressive the past two weeks in difficult road games. They're going to smash the South.

I've often wondered how the NFLs rating will be effected by the fact that so much of their "fanbase" is really just fantasy football fans. It's a mix of people who may have very fickle interest in the sport overall so who knows what that will mean for NFL ratings in general. I know I personally have just used fantasy apps and such to keep track of the league more than actually watch games. Or we can just blame TNF. I really fucking hate TNF... almost as much as I hate when broadcasts go to the "officiating expert" in the studio who is always wrong.
