You get to watch good games too. As somebody whose main interest in the NFL is fantasy, LA used to have 3 of the best games every week with the occasional dud from being a secondary market of certain teams. Having local teams is overrated.

I follow the NFL but not as deep as a lot of people I know. I'm more into the college scene. It would be a treat to have a new stadium where the bowls could be played and some NFL games. I would probably attend them more often if we had that. But Qualcomm is just old.

I guess I'll go back to the sunny beaches and gorgeous women. UGH!

After next week. Let the rains fill our empty reservoirs first.

It was hilarious watching some random USC Pac-12 game a few months ago and see the crowd start leaving when a light drizzle started falling.

I think I saw there was actually a pretty solid ratings drop in LA this season because they are forced to watch the rams now

I understand that LA is huge, but what are the economics for a second LA team? They will not fill the stadium (in other words, it is not like thier gate will be higher). No sane network will sign a local TV deal with them for higher than the SD deal would be (unless the NFL has some sort of automatic affiliate deal with CBS that mandates the price?).

They're temporarily in Carson, from what I heard. It's only a 30k stadium, the equivalent of a half-empty stadium.

Yah, saw it on CBS sports. I play fantasy so I like to watch my top players. Barring that, I'd like to watch games between top teams. Having a local team just messes it up for more casual fans.

It'll remain that way. I doubt Deigans will travel to LA just to watch them lose to KC and the Browns every year.

The stadium that the Chargers are going to be in wouldn't house three of the top Texas high school football games in attendance.

they lost a lot of close games last year too but didn't do much better this year (9 of their 12 losses in 2015 were by 1 score or OT). I guess you could probably blame some of it on coaching though

the chargers are gonna miserable from a business point of view but they are already a lot better than the rams football=wise

Cal is gonna rekt the Pac12 in 2 years.

Chargers need to succeed to prove the move was wise-from a business standpoint and a NFL ratings one-otherwise they might be dissolved.
