http://nep.247sports.com/Bolt/Bill-Belichick-goes-on-epic-rant-about-advanced-statistics--49064266 i think baseball , due to its 1-on-1 competition is the best place for advanced stats usage; even in that sport the 2 biggest geniuses ( Gillick and Friedman ) have been rather dubious on advanced stats usage in their orgs. To quote Friedman's top lieutenant .. that stats man himself: "Every mathematical model is a gross simplification of reality," imo, statistics continue to gradually improve and have been doing so for decades. you can't draw a lot of attention or justify huge budgetary expenditures with boring, incremental, slow improvements. So advocates sometimes over state their case to justify money spent on "information collection" and "interpretation" and "BI".

Like if he is that scared about getting one he should stop playing. I've seen guys cry over career threatening incredibly painful injuries, or losing the superbowl, but I couldn't help but go, "wow, what a weenie" last night. Maybe I missed something and I'll just feel like a dink later.

Every concussion makes you more vulnerable to another concussion and once other players know you have concussion problems they will go after your weakness. Concussion is worse than a ligament or tendon tear or broken bone because you never really "heal" from a concussion. your symptoms go away, and the damage is still there. In boxing and MMA some guy who never gets KO-ed finally does for the first time get KO-ed. This begins a string of KOs from softer and softer shots until people declare "he has no chin".
