So all this time, Jon Jones was actually fighting for his right to party?

But yes, I agree with your implication, that Silva should not be fighting Weidman again. There are interesting middleweight bouts lined up soon, such as Romero vs Souza and Machida vs Rockhold, so why skip all of those guys with momentum for Silva...? Weidman is a pretty likable dude, why does it seem like the UFC is desperate to have Silva has the champ? I dunno, it's probably just me, but I'm slowly getting this sense that the UFC is screwing itself over right now with all these unwanted title fights, their way of handling the Jon Jones fiasco, boosting the pay-per-view prices, and somewhat because of this Reebok uniform deal. Agreed, another title fight this soon for Silva, especially if it's with Weidman again does not make sense. (Altho don't forget that it could be against Vitor) It could be the UFC trying to use the fact that some people still think the 2nd fight was just a fluke accident, which lacked a proper conclusion just like the first fight, and that a third fight will sell alot, which it probably will. Although for me, as much as I love Anderson, I don't think he won a single moment or battle in that second fight, and Weidman clearly won the fight despite the finish being a freak accident. (or not so accidental, as Weidman was clearly working the checks intended to make Anderson hurt himself on his own kicks) On top of that, I think any of the top 5 middle weights right now could give Anderson a tough time. But I guess Anderson was a huge draw for them, and they want to put him in title fights right away to generate them PPVs. Anyone know how big of a draw Weidman is currently? I don't know any of these things but I imagine Weidman has to have gained some popularity considering him vs Machida was on multiple lists as best fight of 2014.

Here is a bit of a follow up on the tweet that was posted. "Jon Jones' out of competition drug tests all show abnormal hormone levels" http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/1/7/7510649/jon-jones-out-of-competition-drug-tests-all-show-abnormal-hormone epitestosterone is banned because its a masking agent. i know guys who try to screw with their urine test results by drinking a tonne of water just prior to the test to water down whatever tehy are trying to hide. is that what Jones was doing ?

News of Jones and his cocaine usage seems to have died down, Dillashaw wants a super fight with Aldo if McGregor loses to Siver this Sunday, and Jake Shields' failed drug tests comes from diuretics, not marijuana.

In a rather shocking turn of events, Johny Hendricks will be fighting Matt Brown at UFC 185. Johny Hendricks was originally set to fight current UFC Welterweight champion Robbie Lawler in a rubber match, but was seemingly pulled from the bout due to the UFC audience's disdain for a 3rd fight in a short span. Matt Brown was originally set to fight Tarec Saffiedine as the main event of UFC Fight Night 60, but Saffiedine withdrew from the bout due to injury.

in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani ( less than 2 days ago) , Rory Macdonald stated he verbally agreed to fight Lombard at UFC 186 on April 25th in Montreal. Jon Jones big "drug rehab" program lasted one night. its a PR move that is going to back-fire. http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/1/13/7536675/jon-jones-stint-in-drug-treatment-facility-lasted-one-night i wonder if Reebok is going to have something to say about Jones positive drug test?

UFC Women's Strawweight champion Carla Esparza will defend her title for the first time against Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 185 as the co-main event Carla Esparza defeated Rosa Namajunas in The Ultimate Fighter Season 20 Finale to become the inaugural UFC Women's Strawweight champion. She currently holds a professional MMA record of 10-2 with losses to retired legend Megumi Fuji and the current WSOF Women's Strawweight champion Jessica Aguilar. Joanna Jedrzejczyk is undefeated in her professional MMA career, and 2-0 in the UFC with wins over Claudia Gadelha and Juliana Lima.

Anyone going to put money down on Siver? I think he's sitting at like +650. I love the McGregor hype, and the dude has mad skills and wickedly insane athleticism...but +650 for Siver? Come on...I know he's a bit old, and he's never been a top tier fighter, but he's a tough dude, has spent most of his career fighting bigger dudes (think he started as a WW), and has a wealth of experience. Rick Story was recently offered up as a sacrificial lamb to McGregors friend and training partner - Gunnar Nelson - and look how that worked out. Could see the same thing here, imo. Also, did anyone see that Fight Lab with McGregor? Where he has more hip thrust than a top professional golfer and the reaction speed of the best MLB sluggers? Well if not, DC was holding the pads for McGregor during the segment. My question is: does McGregor train with DC/Cain/ @AKA sometimes, or was DC just there for a different reason? The only "weakness" anyone has been saying he potentially has is his wrestling, but if he's working with DC or something...well, doubt it's a weakness on an athlete like him. And yikes, WW picture is going to be muddy now, but that's good...sort of. Let Robbie take a break, I don't mind. He had to fight twice to get his title shot. Not quick finishes, 8 rounds of fighting. The man can take a vacation while things get sorted out. From there, Lombard/Rory should be the #1 contender match and be given the next title shot, and the winners of Brown/Hendricks and Gastelum/Woodley should fight for the one after, while the losers pair up with other people in the top 10 looking to crack. Hmmm...I haven't rambled about MMA in awhile so I have more. KIMBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I don't give a shit how old he is, or how shitty he is, I'll watch him in a Bellator fight lol. The nostalgia strings of watching his videos so many years ago before anyone knew who he was will always stay with me! "THIS HOW A NIGGA EAT, THIS HOW A NIGGA PUT BREAD ON THE TABLE!" And the fact that he actually stepped up, took a spot on TUF even after all the shit Dana talked, put in work, and came off as a pretty likeable dude made it all the better (even if his fights were pathetic). Plus he really introduced me to the Fat Man with supposedly great BJJ, which I think was the last time we saw him use it? =] Some details of the Reebok deal have been released. They seem pretty straight forward, which is basically Reebook gear all the time in association with UFC events, basically the same deal they run with other major sports teams. I'm still waiting on the financials, though. Reebok gave them 70mil a year, correct? Do things like PPV buys and gate go toward that total to distribute among fighters? I really want to know their pay tiers, because 70 mil split between however many tiers and 500 some odd fighters placed into those tiers seems like it would end up being bad for the small guys (sooo no change -_-)

UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw will defend his title for the second time in a rematch against Renan Barao at UFC 186 in Montreal. Also featured on the card will be title eliminator Rory Macdonald vs Hector Lombard and Quinton Jackson will be making his return to the UFC against Fabio Maldonado

the UFC should just introduce a 150 lbs , 177 lbs ,192 lbs, and 217 lb belts. so everyone either is holding a belt or is in a title eliminator match.

Pretty sure I heard one of the Fox announcers say specifically that during the Seahawks Win. A big KO from McGreggor could get him pretty close to a title fight. I don't think McGreggor should be watching his teams fights.. Could use up a lot of adrenaline.
