I absolutely, positively hate Gordon.
On the other hand Davis might legit win the MVP this year if he keeps playing like this. This seemed like a relatively quiet game but he went 27/11/6b/4s on 10-17 shooting. On top of a go ahead field goal at the end of the game. He also really bothered Duncan this game on defense whenever they matched up which was pretty awesome.

At the moment I'd say Davis, Steph Curry, Boggie are my top 3 MVP candidates so far.
Also, Golden State is just playing amazing basketball. Watched them dismantle the Clippers last week; their defense is off the charts. The way they rotate and hedge properly off everything is crazy to watch

i'm biased for bigs when it comes to the mvp because of the defensive impact and basically the brutal effectiveness of a big man like davis, low variance when he's on his game.
fisher isn't doing anything wrong, most knicks fans are pretty pleased, even though we have no clue how he actually coaches. he looks the part. the knicks are getting destroyed by their shitty 3 point defense right now, but i think that'll get better when they are not so focused on getting the offense down.

If Fisher's doing one thing right, it's his suit game. He always looks on point.

Gotta love Davis because of how ridiculous he sometimes looks on defense: Jump > block > Jump Alter > Jump Rebound all on one possession in like 3 seconds.

one of my favorite stats to look at, incomplete as it is(gotta look at rebounding too), is opponent interior shooting %. it seems to line up well with how good the team's defense is.
marc gasol and davis do well by this measure.

davis and asik also dominate rebounding too.

Turns out OKC has some decent players on their bench that Brooks just hasn't bothered to play.

I wake up and Hayward was leading the Jazz in points again. A few years ago I wasn't too interested in NBA and would hope Dirk wins because he's a cool guy but since Hayward streamed on TL I started to look up the Jazz's score every morning. So happy for him.

Dante looks better every game. He is closing out games now. Musn't be long till he starts games also.
