Not having Matthews hurts the least because Memphis' offense is focused on playing through their bigs not as much their perimeter guys- Conley is good though- but at least they don't have to deal with Ginobili/Parker, CP3/JJ/Crawford, or Rondo/Monte. It's not a great matchup but it coulda been worse. Sucks about the injuries though, they could have had a real chance if not for them (though you could say the same for a lot of teams) On April 17 2015 05:01 TwoToneTerran wrote: I could've swore I posted that here already, which is why I brought the brand new Omar one. The Omar one is sneaky good, though. I might have missed it then still worth reposting either way

The only difference between the Raptors this year and last year is the addition of Lou Williams. A really solid bench player who started exactly 0 games this year. i'd say its a 50-50 match up as well. the raptors were a coin flip, 50-50 type match up with their 1st round opponent last year. its deja vu all over again. the raptors started the season with great fan-fare, a home centric easy-peazy schedule, and a 22-6 record. in the final 54 games the Raptors went 27-27... that .500 record is no fluke. The Lowry Injury Report: He Has Recovered Fully during the 2nd half of the season, in predictable Lowry fashion he mis-managed 2 injuries he suffered. a hand injury diving for a ball out of bounds in Philly with a huge lead and a back injury. later he aggravated the back injury coming back too soon. to his credit Lowry ackowledged he came back too soon from his back injury. its great he is admitting he screwed this one up. the real question is.. will the guy have to turn 35 before he learns how to pace himself and manage injuries properly through a season. Lowry came back from his back injury for a 2nd time in the 79th game of the season and played 30+ minutes in each of the final 4 games. His shooting steadily improved in each of those 4 games. I think Lowry is "play off ready". I think he is finally completely recovered from both his hand injury and his back injury. In the final few games none of Lowry's fingers were taped up. during 20+ games in the 2nd half of the season various fingers on his right hand were taped together. like toronto , the washington wizards also wilted in the 2nd half of the season. The Raptors Swept The Regular Season Series 3-0 their first game was in early november and was a raptor blow out win. the other 2 games were held in late january and early february and they were very close. 1 went to OT and the other decided in the final 30 seconds by 2 points. these results indicate this is a 50/50 type match up because i don't think the early season blow out means much. these 2 teams have less chance of winning the NBA championship than any other pair of teams in the other 7 play off pairings in the first round.

This year was a lot harder to predict than most other years imo, past the conference finals matchup I have no idea what's gonna happen at all. http://nbabracketology.com/group/view/3825

Meh, everyone's going to do it at some point. At least this way it's only for one round.
