But lets face it, theyre all rubbish packages for a player of Love's talent. I'm really not sure where he goes. I'd bank on Boston or staying in minny and being traded later in the year.

Yea I'm betting he gets traded right before the deadline especially if the Wolves don't look likely to make the playoffs at that point. I just can't see the Wolves trying to hold onto him as a Free Agent. They don't have the same brash confidence the Lakers had with Dwight or they shouldn't at any rate.

But they should hold out for other, better, offers. They still have leverage.

Cleveland seems like a long shot for Lebron except on public sentimentality. Lebron said a major factor in leaving the Cavs was that no one he tried to recruit was willing to go there. Of course Kyrie, Lebron and whoever they pick #1 is probably enough to be best in the east, but that #1 pick needs to be a superstar in year one if they want to beat who ever comes out of the west. It would be the only spot where leaving Miami would be met with less criticism nationally compared to other contenders. Rockets are going to be going all out for a 3rd star this off season. Miami is the favorite to retain Lebron, but the Rockets could make a very strong pitch and argueably offer the strongest big 3 he could join. Harden, Howard and Lebron lineup would be instant favorites to win it all. If for some reason Lebron would prefer to team with Carmello or Love over Harden, trading Harden isn't out of the question either. Carmello and Love will both be on the Rocket's list if Lebron isn't an option. Morey seems confident that he can get the cap space needed by trading Lin and Asik to the point that it is implied the deals are already in place as soon as they get a commitment from a player they want. The Bulls are also major players in getting another star player. Their appeal depends on how much faith they have in Rose's health. Supposedly he is doing great now, but until he does it in real NBA games it's a risk.

Maybe Wade is all about winning to the point that he will take a huge paycut. Maybe he has enough money stacked away that he will go for rings over cash. But he is already on the decline and if the Heat were to make moves JUST on what would make the team better, I don't know that the Heat would even bring back Wade if he opted out. And there is no way he gets another contract from anyone comparable to what opting in would give him. Lebron said he isn't taking a pay cut just so the Heat can avoid the luxury tax penalty, but the Heat would be 4th year offenders if they do what he wants and the cost will be insane. Certainly their owner could afford to do it if he doesn't mind losing millions for his entertainment, but it's a cost that would continue to rise. They weren't willing to pay it this year to keep Mike Miller against Lebron's wishes. If the Heat aren't willing to take a big loss in luxury tax then the chances of Lebron leaving increase a lot.

I don't see how you convince both Lebron and Carmello to take pay cuts when Kobe didn't take one and is coming off a major injury that makes his health just as questionable as Wade, and the fact that Kobe still seems to see himself as the number one option on offense. Plus Lebron can't pass Kobe in rings if he is helping him win more.

Even then though, I think it'd put a really terrible image on lebron if he keeps team hopping like this. Idk, I could see myself rooting for the Cavs (not as my main team obviously) if he goes there + Kyrie and Wiggins/Parker. Frankly I'm tired of Lebron on the Heat, but I see your point.
