I think Zach Lowe said on a Simmons' podcast that the Warriors were afraid of 1-4 pick and rolls that featured Curry and Love on defense. I guess. But it's shows such a silly rationalization to maintain the current roster. The Warriors were probably just scared to make the trade.

ughhh I hope this bitch gets locked up. Falsifying domestic abuse charges leads to shit like this. Cost this guy his job. (Dante Cunningham DV situation) http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=11750556&src=desktop&wjb

His most notable weakness is that he is not (yet?) a creator of his own offense, and certainly not for his teammates. GS has bet that he's going to continue to improve, and that they feel it's important to have a bigger co-gaurd to pair with Curry. Korver does one thing stupendously well, and has built his game around running screens etc to make his shooting even more potent. He's also continued to add to his game and despite his reputation has always been a tolerable team-defender. The comparison between the two is a little silly. However it's totally reasonable to debate if Klay is going to be 'worth' the contract he's going to get (I can't imagine someone doesn't offer him the bazillions) because he is not, at this point, remotely as good as the top-tier dudes. And as Ace was saying, Curry, Bogut and Iggy are all probably more important to the team's success. Although with the new salary cap who knows what's about to happen. We can also question not trading him for Love, which is still mind-blowing to me. I agree with everything you said here, except I'm not even Klay fanboy or even gs fan. I'm spurs fan. Also nowhere did I say anything about worth of Klay or my opinions on that. I simply found silly comparison of Klay and Korver. Klay is obviously much better player already. And as for guy that called me motherfuker that thinks this is his "neighborhood", son I'm watching and following NBA probably longer then you are alive. That is my neighborhood. If u disagree with something I said, u can argue with me on it. But just trying to play big shot, or some sheriff of these parts wont do. I'm ready to destroy you kiddo any time of the day.

Cost this guy his job. (Dante Cunningham DV situation) http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=11750556&src=desktop&wjb I didn't hear about the charge fabrication, so thanks for posting. Cunningham always seemed like a good guy at 'Nova and with his time with the Wolves. I remember being surprised when the DV allegations came out. She really should be harshly punished for her actions, it's a really horrible thing to do. As for this Korver-Klay business, I have Ace mentally tagged as "literally Zach Lowe" and I agree with him in this case. Korver is a game breaker. If you leave him open, you pay, and harshly. That's humongous.

The GS/Love trade was a bad mistake if it did exist. I'm not sure what actually went down but Klay/Barnes/lee for love/contract should've been done. Meh. Klay has been really good in team USA and preseason so looking to have a big year. The dubs will be okay.

There is a ton of discussion all over the place but it follows the principle of team wins being broken down into individual player contributions. It also uses positional weights to avoid errors and make comparisons easier. .100 (.099) is league average for that position. .200 is ~All Star and .300 are the superstars. Of course this is a lose guideline from what they wrote.

Korver will never have 18.7 ppg even in his best young days he could never get those numbers. He don't posses ability to score points consistently, never had and never will. Not to mention Korver got these 12.0 in loser atlanta. Get him to decent team on west, he will warm bench for 82 games. Only retards use ppg as a measure of a player. This isn't the ESPN boards. Prepare to actually offer substantive metrics if you want to get anywhere here. Oh, don't use the watching the NBA longer than everybody else argument if you're going to type like a 12-year old.

Only retards respond without comprehending I guess. The guy wrote that Korver is better offensive player. Btw other stats are very similar, yea Korver got 1 reb and 1 assist more per game, but in team like Atlanta which are not contenders and are on weak east. When rest of your team is trash I guess you can pump some stats. Golden state is loaded with talent its on much harder to get stats. And still with all this said, the only real difference is that Klay is much better scorer then Korver, rest of stats are close.

Being on a bad team and putting up good stats means...you're more than likely a good player. Korver wasn't even out there chucking or wildly outperforming his career numbers. You have no clue what you're talking about. Golden State being loaded with talent shouldn't really stop Klay from being at least league average for his position in several categories.

Why does someone like martell Webster rank so much higher? How do you apply context to this stat?
