Pick 2 out of:
Giovani Bernard, Darren Sproles, Bernard Pierce,Toby Gerhart
Wayne, Fitz, Cooks though the last one is hard Bernard and Spriles. Pierce is droppable and Gerhart perhaps injured.

Fitzgerald, Wayne, and I really like Maclin this year
Pierce and Bernard? I really dunno. Sproles had a good game but could be an anomaly, Gerhart hit or miss

I'd probably do Bernard and Gerhart. Bernard's the best back of the bunch, and Gerhart will get hte most touches. I agree with Darkhorse on wrs.

Somebody had the huevos to start Brandin Cooks week 1 in my other league.
I personally think he's gonna be legit this year.

Brandin Cooks was started in my league this week too. He looks like he could be decent
|
He's the 3rd option at best, maybe 4 if Stills comes back into his spot. He's definitely not usurping Graham, and I can't see Colston getting bumped out of his 1WR spot. Maclin's #1, Fitz and Wayne are probably like 1Bs now. I suspect they'll get way more targets.

I have first waiver pick in one of my leagues. Really not many people out there...
I guess I'll just take that Benjamin dude in Carolina? It's basically either him or Forsett in terms of potential value, but I doubt Forsett will really do much.
|
I think Benjamin has more upside imo. He's a legit #1wr on that team. The only real threat to his reception numbers would be Olsen. Those two Cleveland rbs might be worth a flier if you're hard up for rbs. Outside of that, yeah, it gets a little thin in most leagues.
|
So I wonder how legitimate it is TMZ reporting that the NFL never asked for the tapes.
I like how NFL.com has disabled comments on all Ray Rice rated articles haha. Jesus fucking hell how lame even if expected.
Edit: Either way Goodell fucked up. This whole thing was far too reactionary.

Yeah. Usually nobody WRs that make a fantasy splash week 1 always turn out to be duds, but in this case at least he's a big dude who, sadly for the Panthers, is basically all they have. Cam might just heave tons of balls his way, something he couldnt really do with guys like Steve Smith. The Browns RB situation is a mess I don't want to get anywhere near that haha.
This whole Rice thing is a mess. It really does smack of the NFL trying to desperately cover it up or white wash it. But why? It would all make more sense if this situation happened to a more prominent player, but Ray Rice? Like yeah, the guy is a name in the NFL, but he's not really known outside of the sport. He was a terrible player all of last year and is replaceable. The Ravens aren't a massive franchise. He's a typical moron RB. It's not like Tom Brady slugged Giselle or something. The NFL really bungled all of it and gambled with their rep for basically no reason.

it's obvious thr NFL was more worried about their bottom line rather than the actual incident, they should have known especially with the police charges then Goodell having a conversation with her while Rice was next to her was idiotic or planned. Then of course there was John Harbaugh's scripted press conference.

Like they JUST updated the domestic abuse policy and now here we are with this "indefinite" suspension when the guidelines for dealing with this were just reestablished. So now what? shouldnt it be 6 games?
This whole indefinite suspension just reeks of a cover up to me. I cant beleive that Roger Goodell, who reportedly has former FBI officials on his staff, had not seen that video prior to yesterday. If "multiple sources" were solicitated for the video (as the NFL claims) I refuse to beleive that the multi-billion-dollar-NFL couldnt have gotten it from at least one of them.

NFL cares a bit more about public attention. Balt releasing Ray Rice shows that the story is too hot for the team and it's too hot for the NFL as well. It is possible that they only saw the outside camera that we saw much earlier and made a decision off that. You also assume the NFL could what break the law and obtain evidence from the police because they are the NFL? The NFL has no say to a police investigation nor should it, this was alantic city not baltimore cough*cough*stab
|
Not necesarily from the police, apparently there were multiple sources that had the video.

Where are we building the Pegula statue and how can I help?

So I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I only have one rb in Ball since Pierce floundered on Sunday. I was offered a trade where I get Fred Jackson and he's asking either for Fitzgerald or Wayne, who do you think I should give up? Standard scoring.
|
Neither. Acquire Forsett.
|
I say hold, peirces numbers will improve and I wouldnt wanna trade either one of those wrs for Fred Jackson
|
while i dont think either of those wrs are great, i think f jackson is definitely a downgrade. im also adverse to trading in week one. play a waiver wire for forsett or someone else, and if anything, buy when jackson is low and one of your guys is high. Perosnally, I am not big on fitz this year. I really think he's second fiddle to Floyd now.
|
Yeah, I'm not big on Fitz either.
