Its the NFL, the Bucs beat the Steelers this year, 1 game is mostly meaningless. I mean, I doubt the NFL is going to change anytime soon because the owners want the guaranteed slot, plus the league as a whole wants the guaranteed regional diversity. But logically there is still 0 reason for it. Plus as mentioned above...the Cardinals were basically 2 teams this year, and the Panthers beat the version that had a 20% winning percentage. There's been talk of swapping the fourth seed with the highest wild-card winner (IF the highest wild-card has a better record than the fourth division winner) which is absolutely reasonable. They're gonna need to play a great game against Seattle/GB to have a chance, but the more people count them out, the more dangerous a team they become IMO Cardinals with no Palmer and Ellington shouldn't be regarded as a measure of legitimacy.

Look at who they played against as a QB.

Yea, Ryan Lindley isn't good, but Matt Ryan surely is. If you really doubt the legitimacy of their LB corps, idk what to tell you. Charles Johnson is legit. Josh Norman is legit. They were a top 10 defense during the regular season and are peaking at the right time. I'm not saying the Panthers are going to win the NFC, but I believe the more people continue to tout them as undeserving and shitty, the more likely they are to play out of their minds against a good team.
