I'm fine with the division winner getting in but the guaranteed seed is absurd. Arizona had 3.5 more wins and was forced to play on the road which is insane. Arizona is 13-3 over the last two years at home, and I can't be convinced that we would have seen the same result had Carolina been forced to play on the road. | ||

If there's a change it should be seeding (home-field advantage) based on record. | ||

If you are a 7-9 division winner that means you were 7-9 with 6 games (at least) played against other teams that were 7-9 or worse! Its the NFL, the Bucs beat the Steelers this year, 1 game is mostly meaningless. I mean, I doubt the NFL is going to change anytime soon because the owners want the guaranteed slot, plus the league as a whole wants the guaranteed regional diversity. But logically there is still 0 reason for it. Plus as mentioned above...the Cardinals were basically 2 teams this year, and the Panthers beat the version that had a 20% winning percentage. | ||
