To be honest, I don't know why Guardiola wants to do mess with tactics. He seems to be fixing something that's been already working flawlessly, basically switching to what he prefered in Barcelona. I wonder what Jupp Heynckes would say about that.
Pep seems smarter and smarter everyday. My guess about the changes in the system, is that he realises barca's potential more than anyone else, he knows he can't count on messi being injured/barca playing bad next year too, so he will make bayern the anti-barca team, given that he knows his previous team inside out.

Every coach has his own thinking of tactics and how to play.
With Van Gaal it was ball possetion and a lot of isolation plays for Ribery/Robben, with Heynkes it was a power football style with a lot of counter pressure and the overloading of the right side. I think this flexibility was a big part why he wanted to go to Bayern, with the players he has he can play almost every thinkable system.
And as you have seen last season with Barcelona, if you dont change and improve you get worse on this level of play.
I like the way Pep is going about changing shit with Bayern Means the 4:1 odds i got on Chelsea beating them in the Super Cup is looking better and better ^_^

There's a huge conflict between the player and his agents and Sporting right now. He claimed yesterday there was an attempt to abduct him by goons hired by Sporting. Really strange stuff. Don't know what can come out of this but don't get excited about him yet.
Indeed, but he looked stupidly good vs his own age group in the U20 tournament. Wouldn't mind given him the Chelsea academy treatment to see if he can be made even better.

1) This is the worst fucking refereeing I've ever seen. I mean yea, I've given FIFA/UEFA refs a lot of shit for bad calls, but holy shit this stuff looks like they pulled some random idiot off the street and put 'em in a ref's uniform. Calls are completely inconsistent, entirely missed, or completely made up when there is no foul at all.
2) The skill being displayed is shockingly terrible. Germany is supposed to be (arguably) the best women's team in the world, and I think they've won the last several Euro's, but fuck, both teams are awful. Horrible strikes, horrible decision-making, everyone's on the ground after the slightest contact, no hustle, wow. And yea, you can just say, "Well it's the women's game", but I've had the lucky pleasure to be widely exposed to the American women's team, and this shit does NOT happen by either the U.S. team or anyone they play. Women's play is hardly this bad, as I've seen it be quite good and very exciting a number of times.
Game just ended 0-0. Literally the single worst fucking game I've ever seen in my life in any sport ever on the professional level.
No sane person would call Germany best women's team in the world, haha.

Yeah, especially since he said HE is going to adapt to the players and not the players to HIS system. Man, he already lied in his first weeks.
I predict now that Bayern will do worse under him than Heynkes.

Why hire Pep if you aren't going to let him play his system? If they just wanted a figurehead who would stick to the status quo to be the manager, they would have hired someone else, I'd like to think.
Besides, it's a few friendlies. There's no guarantee that they will play like this during competitive matches.
The Bavarians won the Bundesliga, Champions League and DFB-Pokal under Guardiola's predecessor Jupp Heynckes last season, playing a different style to the one favoured by the Catalan at his former club Barcelona.
After just over two weeks' working with Guardiola, Lahm acknowledges some things have changed, but says the new coach has not set about revolutionising a side who have just celebrated their most successful season ever.
"Pep Guardiola has his own ideas," Lahm said. "He expects a few things from us, like the way we move or our passing and positional play.
"We're going to have to work on the fine-tuning in the coming weeks, but it's only about small things.
"We are not reinventing football."
Guardiola does not have to change much, either, and perhaps his biggest challenge will be sustaining the hunger levels Bayern showed on their march to glory last term.
Lahm says the Catalan will not have to worry about that, though, as they look to build on a campaign in which they won four trophies - also including the German Supercup - by clinching six in 2013/14.
"We have really good chances to win titles again," the Germany full-back added on his club's website.
"We're certainly not going to get any worse. The competition in the Champions League is obviously extremely hard, though, and we are the ones everybody will be hunting because everybody wants to knock out the holders.
"But nobody need worry that we're going to sit back and relax after winning the treble. The opposite is more likely to be the case because there's a lot still in this side."

The first mistake when you are ahead of the competition is to think that you are ahead of the competition... In sports and even in a business you need fresh blood, even if you are already the best, to keep being number 1 thanks to new opinions and self-criticism.
In any case, Bayern players are already used to apply most of the tactical concepts that Guardiola loves. Their high pressure style is going to be the base for the new style they'll adopt next year; and it was probably the first thing Pep taught Barcelona's players when he arrived there. Most of Bayern's player already have very good technical skills and are 'football-smart', so he's not going to have to change so much on that aspect. He's really a fan of ball possession and will probably not accept that a player tries to shoot from 40m every 5mn because he will consider that it's a waste of ball possession time.
So maybe the negative effect will be that Bayern become a bit less 'crazy', more predictable, but on the other side they should gain stability and avoid attempts from the opponent. Despite their 'craziness', Bayern has been fantastic on the defense side last year, but was it 'normal' or was it just a sensational season? So I don't see many negative aspect in changing Bayern's playstyle to a more conservative, planified football. This doesn't mean less spectacle! People tend to say that Barcelona have 3 shots a game (at least in this forum) but this is completely wrong, and that only happened when the team was down on every aspect of their game, so...
Wait and see, but I would put say they are the favourite to win the CL next year, as they have not lost any big player and the other favourites are in reconstruction...
Real Madrid sign illarramendi from sociedad, who has been dubbed as a potential replacement for xabi Alonso for 38 million euros. Seems a lot to me, but its real
Norwich and Ajax are rumored to have agreed to an €8m fee for Belgian international CB Toby Alderweireld. Next season of the Premier League is going to be great, with all the mid-lower table teams making some very smart transfers (except Neuxcastle, hahahaha!).
That fee for Illarramendi is ridiculous. He better be damn good for that much money.
Pics of the kit that i got that i was talking about a few pages ago. I actually got to watch the numbers and stuff get patched/pressed on to the jerseys. Decided against a getting a name on the back
Norwich are also "rumoured" so have sign Leroy Fer subject to a medical, he was seen having dinner at Carrow Road. Not a fan of the way Hughton plays but he is definitely making some good signings, as long as he doesn't get Toivenen.
