KPB looked decent on his Schalke debut. He had a couple chances to score with Farfan delivering some nice crosses for him.

Yes because they are familiar with each other's style. too bad that Özil and Gündoğan choosed to play for Germany. we would've been top 5 team easily. i cant blame them though. Germany's roster is so good compared to ours.

Both KPB and Aogo looked good on their debut, I guess Chelsea won't have a free win against Schalke after all ![]()

Even though some Turkish fans dislike them, majority understands their decision. Well like i said we can't blame them. They have better chances for winning tournaments like world cup and euro cup. It's also better for their careers.

If you're born and raised in Germany that's where you should play, regardless of where your parents are from. But I understand FIFA's rule to allow good players that may not make it into their home country's national team to go to where they have a chance, just not a fan of them using it in the opposite situation.

Look Germany how many "true" germans they have xD The same with France (many players come from colonial countries: albania, senegal etc).

Pretty sure that Ozil/Gundogan (same situation) and Podolski are the only players that don't have ethnic German ancestry, and even then, every player on the team was born and raised in Germany (except Klose, moving there at 8, and Podolski, moving there at 2), and Ozil/Gundogan are multi-generation Turkish-Germans. Oh, and 80+% of the squad plays in the Bundesliga.

So, yea. Not much to criticize them on. Klose and Podolski were born in Poland, Kevin Kuranyi was born Sao Paolo and raised in panama, first time in Germany he was 15. Players with half ancestry: Boateng' father is from ghana. Aogo's father from nigeria, aroon hunt's mom come from england, mario gomez's father is spanish, khedira's father is tunesia. edi: ok, i see your edit now. However if i see the starting grid that 5+ players dont have true ethnics, then i dont like it but i respect it. The same with arsenal london few years ago, zero british players.

It reminds me what Lilian Thuram once said about his homeland of Guadeloupe (overseas region of France): "People often confuse it with Guatemala, Guinea, Guyana, sometimes even with Ghana".
