LeBron (and a host of other guys) could definitely score 70 if needed to. Just wont happen because he isn't wired that way. He's also a much better 3pt shooter than Kobe or MJ so he'd be able to rack em up from distance.

Yeah great point. Lebron isn't wired to be the primary ball handler/shot taker like MJ or Kobe. That's why he shouldn't be compared to them and why his teaming up with dwade who is more of that style of player makes a ton of sense. I think he may have developed into a psuedo mj had he stayed in Cleveland but I don't know if that would have suited his overall development as he probably would be a less efficient scorer and passer than he is now. In my opinion though since Lebron is either unable or unwilling to carry the load for his team as totally as MJ or Kobe did down the stretch for their respective teams it hurts his overall legacy.

Wat? Did you watch the finals? That comeback in game 6? That only happened because Lebron was unstoppable. Being a willing and talented passer (Kobe at least is not a willing passer) should not count against someone's "legacy." It's also worth noting that Lebron plays much more defense than either Kobe or MJ, though some of that is rule/style changes. I have no doubt MJ would've been capable of the kind of D Miami plays. Kobe has been a vastly overrated defender for sometime now and last season was woof.

Wow, Pacers bench: CJ Watson, Lance Stephenson (I'm assuming George will be SG and Granger SF), Copeland, Scola, Mahinmi. That's a serviceable bench, especially Stephenson, Copeland, and Scola.

I think trading for Scola means Granger will be starting rather than Stephenson. Before it could have gone either way with Copeland playing the 4. But now I see it being Stephenson/Coepland/Scola at the back up 2/3/4.

Bench is going to be waaaaaaay better this season. Pacers have basically added Granger, Watson, Copeland, Scola and drafted Soloman Hill this off season while losing Hansbrough, Gerald Green (assuming thats the trade), and DJ Augustine. Glad to have Larry Bird back.

So it looks like Oden is close to playing in the NBA again. I really like this guy and think he's one of the saddest recent cases of a potentially great talent lost to the NBA.

I'm not really sure what, if anything, he has left to give in a meaningful way. He could probably be a decent back-up big playing <20 mins a night but even then he's like a 90%+ chance of getting injured.

Nearly a month after free agency began, Brandon Jennings has a new home.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com on Tuesday the Detroit Pistons have agreed to a sign-and-trade deal that will net Jennings, a restricted free agent, a new three-year contract worth in excess of $25 million.

The Bucks will receive guard Brandon Knight, forward Khris Middleton and center Viacheslav Kravtsov, two sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

ESPN.com first reported Tuesday that the Bucks and Pistons were in advanced discussions on a deal to finally rescue Jennings from a frustrating July on the open market in which the restricted free agent appeared to be frozen out of the big money.

Jennings was considering returning to the Bucks on a one-year qualifying offer -- which would have made him an unrestricted free agent -- until the Pistons swooped in with serious trade interest.
