It implies that someone else might get the shot. That's a crowded paint area for a team that's going to need drives from Harden/Parsons/Lin to be successful.

It is somewhat of a narcissistic thing. He thinks his strengths and skills are to play inside and be dominant from in there. Running the PnR technically takes away from his inside game he values so much...Statistics have shown though that he is one of the best PnR big men in the league. For the Lakers he refused to run the PnR, flat out not doing it. Problem is inside, he only has about 2 moves. They should be beastly that team though. I am expecting a big season from Klay Thompson. I think he will surpass expectations.

I think Curry and Klay are going to break or come close to breaking the 3pt record. With Iggy being a prime ball handler they are going to get so many great looks.

It's a subjective list in a sports magazine that's quickly losing relevancy, and there's nothing for Wade to "step aside" in. Wade trying to be his best has zero impact on Harden. It's not like we're talking 2016 Olympic spots. I think it's a roundabout way of saying that Wade was one of the best, but he's been passed up by Harden. Wade has the overall career that trumps Harden significantly right now, but Harden can be argued to have passed him up in present value.

I heard it too but now that I think about it I don't remember the original source of those claims.
