The issue is with the poorly designed website, not the fact that if you go to the web designer's site and decide to look through her pictures there's a small amount of nudity. Better not go to the Louvre either; there's nudity all over the place there.

Boston, Minny, Vancouver and Flyers are 3.5 million over the cap. Sharks and Flames are 2.5ish over the cap. http://www.capgeek.com/?salary_cap=$64,200,000 Either way though, looks grim for the Wings. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are alone upfront, with a bunch of aging, slow, defensively questionable guys backing them up and the D is even worse. Kronwall, White, Quincey? Sad. Only bright spot is Smith and the fact that they are under the cap. But not so much that they can go out and do something crazy

With the new cba rules about 8+yr contracts counting against the cap eveen in retirement only a fuckin idiot would take that on even for free. The only way it would ever make sense is if the team taking him was like a perennial conference champ a goalie away from getting over the hump. The leafs are still very far away from just being a regular low seed team Perennial conference champ to get Luongo...for the playoffs? Yes, that would be very Leafs. But I think your original hunch is right, even Burke isnt stupid enough to go for Luongo which is what they fired him for (or so TSN suggests anyway)

Seeing as how Riemer needs development still and Lu has shown himself to be a good mentor, it makes sense to me for them to pull the trigger on this.

 e: I know it doesn't count on cap. They still have to pay him 6.714 6.714 6.714 6.714 6.714 6.714 3.382 1.618 1.000 That's a lot of dough

On January 12 2013 04:33 QuanticHawk wrote: They'd still owe him all of that deal 100%. It is just double the length or something. I don't see why you'd take Lu on for one year to be a mentor and buy him out for the 9 years or whatever he has left. There are 2 amnesty buyouts. From Wikipedia: "To transition to the new cap, each team will have two amnesty buyout opportunities: after the 2012–13 season and after the 2013–14 season, to release a player (or specify a player already released) that is bought out in full, counting against the players' overall share in revenues, but not counting towards the team's salary cap." Edit: Ah, I misunderstood, sorry. Yeah, that is a lot of money, but the amount of revenue from merchandising and possible playoff games would more than offset it. I don't know if it is optimal to buyout Lu after one season, but there is the possibility to keep him for 2 seasons and still buy him out.

I don't understand why you seem so upset about the nude photos? Website design being shit sure get angry about it... being mad because the website designer has something else on there own site? Oh no there are pictures of boobs! Not to mention they aren't even Boobs in sexually provocative situations... I could see your point IF those photo's were on the teams website... but it's on a completely different page... I sincerely hope you are just trolling and are not actually that repressed/offended by breasts. More on topic: Not sure as a Habs fan if I should even bother getting my hopes up for a half decent season -.- Need to get Subban signed ASAP, I am hopeful about them adding some more grit with Prust and Armstrong. Lars Eller I've always liked so I hope he can have a big season. Rene bourque is basically cammalleri 2.0 but even less so not too excited about him. Really hoping we can find a way to drop Gomez and Gionta. I still like Plekanec and want to give him another chance with some half decent line mates.
