"I play in the [expletive] Russian KHL, I make lots of [expletive] points and what's going to happen? He make me [expletive] play on the fourth line and he put me in the playoffs on the fourth line and third line again," Grabovski spewed. "Yeah, I don't score goals. I need to work more about that. I know that. But if you feel support from your coach [you'll find success]. I don't feel any support from this [expletive] idiot."

Horc reportedly traded to Dallas for a pick. No proper details yet. Belanger bought out as well.

i don't think he's start any shit in detroit with bertuzzi there

Reported that it's Horcoff to Dallas for Philip Larsen, and a 7th pick in 2016. Not a bad deal at all for a salary dump. Also, Clarkson met with the Oilers today. Interesting

seriously... why would we ever want/need briere especially for 4million a year

i think were probably gonna trade plekanec, thats the only thing that makes sense. plek is the only "tradeable" player we have that has alot of value(seeing as hes getting older and we have replacements for him), i can see bergevin trading him so we can add to our core. briere is gonna act as a stop-gap until galchenyuk is ready to become a top 6 center
thats my theory at least, we'll see what happens

Wow from what I'm reading you guys got a toxic coach in Toronto. Thank god all we had was an unaccountable one in Vancouver.

ha ha ha. Grabo was in Randy's doghouse since last year man and everyone knows once you get in his doghouse it's really hard to get out of it. I don't think anyone would question the fact that Burkie overpaid him like anyone else and to fix the mess you sort of have to make an example to everyone when it comes to negotiating contracts with guys like Kadri.

For once -- watching the Brier and Lecavailar contracts -- I am glad Ken Holland's policy on free agents is 'fuck em, who needs them when we have Dan Cleary!"

With a hot enough goalie you can win with an almost 0 offensive contribution. Which is how LA won. If IF Carter/Richards werent scoring those goals, some other guy would have. Playoffs are all about the random 3rd line grinder getting hot at the right time. That and goal tending. Which is why Carter and Richards got smoked -- despite scoring even more points -- in 2010 by a team with a goalie.

for some reason i feel like were gonna trade plekanec for stewart

Hate to rain on that idea, but Briere is awful defensively. I mean just plain terrible. He's really much better deployed as a wing. Briere getting first line minutes would result in a lot of goals given up and possibly injury for Danny's 36-year-old frame.

they had quick before richards an carter, an they weren't even a playoff team. they add richards a the start of the year, they still weren't a playoff team... they add carter at the trade deadline, bam. they have the secondary scoring to barely make the playoffs/win a cup. now i want you to list off the 3rd an 4th liners that were going step up an get them in the playoffs, and make up the 28 playoff points if you don't have richards an carter. quick played great but they aren't even a playoff team without richards an carter. btw i hope you aren't suggesting that antti niemi is a great goalie b/c chicago beat philly in 2010, b/c that's one of the best examples of a shit goalie being carried by a great team in nhl history, an philly's goalie was even worse..

LA won because they had dudes like richards, carter, justin willians and penner playing in support roles at times. all of those dudes have their knocks, but theyre all top six or former 40 goal scoreres playing secondary roles. quick was out of his mind, but la also had absurd depth and richard and carter were absolutely huge. la effectively played first liners on the third at times.
i do not care for that trade at all for boston. I love loui eriksson, and he might be the most underrated all around player in the league, but seguin is what, 21?? and is more or less as much of an offensive threat, and he does that playing less minutes. the only reason seguin didnt get first line minutes all the time is because bergeron and krejci are ahead of him at center, so he had to play wing to get up there. this at least gets boston a natural top 6 winger, rather than playing a center out of position. i just think seguin's ceiling is way higher. the only possible reason i could see this going down is because of his hip things, like flaccid mentioned. his partying is a lot better excuse to trade him than hes got the hips of a 35 year old.
i am amazed horcoff got a return with that deal. i agree with flaccid, stil la very useful if overpaid player

also carlyle is a fucking idiot. grabs was a little overpaid, and this might have been necessary for that reason alone, but good god, bozak sucks nad he got top 6 minutes over grabs and kadri. theyre gonna resign bozak now and i am gonna die

Same and for stupid money too. lul I opened the Sports section up in the Star and I saw some stupid idiot (guy studying law who wants to become an agent) proclaiming why Bozak is worth 5mil lol.
