Apparantly being barefoot at the gym is not allowed and the new manager is enforcing this everywhere. Seeing as I've been lifting for six months and show no signs of stopping, I was wondering if I could get a simple recommendation for what shoes to get. Currently I'm just doing Stronglifts but I'd like to try Oly lifts further down the line.
Secondly, I was talking fish oil tablets and have now run out. Does anyone know of a good brand or type of fish oil that I should try next? I live in the UK so anything available here that's worth the money is good.
For fish oil you want Omega 3 only in my opinion, most people get enough omega 6 and 9, and too much omega 6 can be harmful. You want it from a small fish source, like sardines. If its from larger fish species like mackerel, there might be some lead and mercury in there, which you don't want any of if you can help it. If it satisfies those conditions, you just want the lowest price per desired dosage.
I lift in socks only, so I don't know about shoes.
For the past few months, i have been peeing extremely frequently. Typically every hour and sometimes more. I also feel as though i have to pee all the time, even immediately after i have just peed. However, the volume of urine that exits it not that much. Does anyone know what this is and/or how to cure it?
Is there a base amount if strength I should have before starting olympic lifts? I've been thinking of joining a gym in my area but I don't want to hurt myself. My current max lifts are:
For the past month i have been eating under maintenace and i am 100% sure of that and i have gained in muscle but i don't think i lost any fat. I thought this was not possible ? As i am told you suppose to keep the same muscle/strenght and lose fat but thats not what is happening to me.

It's extremely difficult to hurt yourself, especially if you have a coach. The earlier you can start teaching your body how to do the lifts the better.

What do you base that assumption on? I've lost 7kg over the last 3 months and there is only a very small visual difference.

It is possible to gain muscle while under maintenance for someone who hasn't been lifting for very long. If you are gaining muscle and eating under maintenance you must be losing fat, if you are not, you aren't actually eating under maintenance. if you are gaining muscle, the scale might not show a loss though. But over a month there should be minor visual differences. If you are sure you aren't losing fat, reduce calories by 500 and then you will be.

If I recall correctly and you are the guy who were eating very, very little for a long period of time, your metabolism will still be fucked up. It takes about as long for your metabolism to return back to normal as you have been dieting so you'll probably have a very hard time losing fat now, and it's very possible reducing your calories further will just make it worse. You should watch this to better understand what's going on:

IMO just spring for the oly shoes now.
A lot of people say you'll be good to lift in Chuck Taylors, which is true for low bar squats, deads, and bench press, but oly shoes are a huge advantage for High bar squats, Front squats, Press, and the Olympic Lifts (obviously) so if you're going to get into those, I'd say it's worth it. Why bother spending 40 bucks now and then have to spend again in a little while, when you can just buy oly shoes (which seem to be pretty resilient)?
Brands I looked at (google is your friend)
Adidas (adipower, adistar, and if you can find a pair the powerperfects are damn sexy too) Nike (romaleo II) Rogue (Do-wins) MDUSA (similar to rogue shoes) Werksan Risto
I've found in addition to this that several crossfit-brands offer dedicated olympic shoes. I can't comment on the quality of them, but you're likely to find them WAY cheaper than any of the above options except Werksan, so it's at least worth considering.

Try reading through this Kiefer's website. It seems like if you partition your food(especially carbs) later in the day, it will help you shed fat. It also goes with what Robb Wolf says to only get carbs in if you need it post workout.
Any tips for getting proficient at overhead squat? I'm quite confident in my regular back squat. but I just can't seem to keep the bar back, behind my head when doing overhead. So far I've been trying it with the little plastic bar that weighs almost nothing (though it might not be quite wide enough.) I don't think I can even keep the bar back when using the standard naked bar.
Are the points given in this video good to follow?
Is isolate protein an unnecessary expense? Isolate vs Regular whey From all that I've read, the general consensus is that they aren't going to affect your health and it only boils down to how much and how hard you exercise. If this is true, is isolate protein either just a luxury or some good marketing in fooling the general public?
(If there were 2kg whey protein and 2kg isolate protein and the price difference between these two were $10. Would the Isolate be worth the extra money?)
Whey isolate is pretty much only necessary if your a bodybuilder prepping for the stage. Whey concentrate is fine for getting in the additional protein that you might require if you don't get enough via whole foods. I rely heavily on powdered protein during the summer as the hot aussie weather really fucks with my appetite.
