EDIT: After all, I did complete a set with my max weight and can squat narrow just fine without weight. I dunno, you can squat much deeper with a narrower set-up. You're really early in your development, and the strength from sumo squats is a lot less useful in sports than the strength from narrow squats.
Also afaik knee injuries are less common in oly lifters (narrow) than in powerlifters (wide), but don't quote me on that.

Today I was at the bus stop at night waiting to go home with 2 other girls there as well. An Indian man and his wife stop by and the man goes to take a piss at the parked car. I look at him for a second because I was surprised and then the wife starts saying "I should kick your ass for looking at my old man's dick you faggot". I saw her yelling but I didn't hear anything until one of the girls told me later because I was listening to music. When the man finished soaking the car with his piss he stormed to me with his face literally touching mine and boy oh boy did he smell like shit. He started yelling with all these obscene words and calling me a faggot and that he's going to kick my ass. I'm just standing there with my chest held high and feeling invincible as usual. I tell him I don't know what he's talking about in a relaxed voice. At this point I tighten my fists in case shit was going to start flying but then his mother came out of nowhere and pulled them away.
I smiled at both girls after, the Japanese girl blushed and soaked her panties. The other girl immediately started talking to me and gave me her name.
Working out and gaining muscle/strength/confidence like a boss, sup Indian? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ should've at least number-closed...
Screw number closing, last night random girl just grabbed my ass at the bar and told me it was great. Squats4life. Friend just stared at me in disbelief hahaha Speaking of which, off to the gym!

One day decaf, I hope to get high enough squat numbers like you to get muscular glutes so girls start grabbing my ass.

Gotta go up step-by-step, I'd be content with a firm hand around my glutes!

So decaf, just wondering, with a DL that big, and with the right leverage, could you flip over a small car?

lol, I'm not sure if any of you guys wanna buy it though. It's about bodyweight training and it's gonna be about 529 pages long and 50 bucks on amazon
So you pretty much really need to be invested in bodyweight training to want to buy it.... unless you just wanna support me. :p (which I would gratefully accept of course)
More information here if you guys wanna check out table of contents and whatnot:

i would have a solid try at narrower stance next session to see if its something like flexibility issues which i'd definately recommend that you work on if present (no idea if true). shockingly, today i was finding that a narrower stance and more-angled-forward feet is more comfortable for me/better!!!??!! squat is like a treasure-field of mystery lol
dont worry about a slight pain like you described, itll heal very quick, but try to figure out how it mighta happened. there must be some sort of weakness if it happened when you changed stance, unless it was simply a fluke. if it happens again then slowly work towards stregthening/improving yourself so it doesnt happen.
posting a squat/any vid is suppppper useful if you've never ever posted one/looked at one before. you can take it on your phone and either ftp your phone via your router or just email it to yourself

hrm how did you come to that price? thats a pretty nuts sized book but either way dont you think you could sell 3x or 10x more copies if you set the price much lower and got it into private gyms or other places? is your target market like professionals (trainers), or students, or what?

Most good fitness books are sold at about $10 per 100 pages. So it's right around there.
Although SS for example is only about 330 pages long for the $30 bucks.
So yes, it could've been shorter, but there's just so much ground to cover with bodyweight stuff because it's not just 5 exercises like SS is... squats, deadlifts, bench, press, and power cleans. Which means It is what it is for the most part.
I COULD have broken it up into 3 separate books (training, injuries, exercises) for $20 each (and would have way better profit margin too). But I think it's better in one volume.
|
As long as it's good quality I think people would pay that. The price doesn't seem to be too prohibitive.
Somewhere down the line I'd like to do more bodyweight stuff. I have a goal of a handstand pushup but it's still a long way away. Just out of curiosity do you think it's better for beginners to establish a base of upperbody strength using barbells and then transitioning into bodyweight stuff, or do you think it's better to just go straight to the bodyweight exercises?
|
Haven't you considered the marketing aproach of the "4 hour body" and going for like 10 bucks on a e-book version?
|
Physical books are so much cooler than e-books though...

Try barbell Bulgarian split squats. I gained 2 inches on my glutes the first month I did them (on a smith though).

fuck... tried working out today but in the middle of warm up sets it seems like I relaly aggravated my knee. its been pretty sore ever since monday's workout(since I failed but tried really hard). is there anything I can do to accelerate the healing? and is there a good way to know I am ready to workout again without going there and just obliterating myself again?
