No, you can still lose muscle mass if you eat hypocalorically and lift heavy albeit slowly

Yes, you can lose muscle mass without losing strength. Much easier to do when you're a novice/intermediate though. If you're trying to lose muscle and have a 400 lbs DL and not expect it to go down then you may be expecting a bit much.

Second question depends. There may be muscle mass gain when cutting while numbers stay unchanged or even go up if the person doing it is obese or overweight.

The lower your BF% is the higher chance that your body will shed muscle tissue.... which makes sense when you think about it. So if your numbers are unchanged when this occurs you may be losing muscle and maintaining strength (e.g. getting more neurologically efficient).

You can get more neurologically effieicnt and lose muscle and still have your numbers go down. That's what happens in the 400 lbs case above where you don't have enough BF% and your lifts are alreayd pretty high where the gains in neurological strength are not enough to compensate for the loss is cross sectional area of the muscle.

So basically the answer is it really depends on the genetics of the person and how much BF% they have... (among other factors like sleep, nutrition,etc of course).

Funily enough, the last set of squats was the easiest, I got a good bounce in the hole during a couple of reps here. It's basically a speed-thing, if I go down faster, reps get easier. But I have to learn to control it, or it won't end well.
Deadlift was easy, my grip is the weakest link right now I believe. I finally have the bar touching my shins on the way up, the "direct" way up makes it much easier^^.
Power Clean was basically technic training again, lots of work to do here, but at least I don't pussy out anymore.

Nice malinor, you could probably out squat me. 165 for three sets of 5 sounds exhausting. I usually do triples around 180 give or take 10kg. I might see what i can do for 3x5 this week. or just max out. its finals week i wanna do something fun lol

Forgot to mention i powersnatched my bodyweight yesterday :D

decaf you can always widen your hand spacing, but I wouldnt use snatch grip lol.

hahaha yeah i would never go that wide, but i think i'll bump out a bit more. I usually go thumbs length from the non grippy part of the bar, i'll play with going out a few inches more.

I'm also twice your size and have been working out for years.

Not too long ago funkie wasnt much bigger or stronger than you, now he's a grown ass man ripping 300+ pounds off the ground and squating 265 like a boss. case in point: SS + Eating a shit ton works.
