Well not in as bad as shape as i thought i was...but still definitely not where i used to be. My shoulder is still being a bitch but as long as i spend a lot of time warming up i wont feel any pain while snatching/jerking.
Snatch: 3x40,50,60,60,70,70,70 2x80 1x85 CJ: 2x70,70,90,90(3xjerk), 1x100,110,120 Finished up with some chin ups/push press/abs/rotator cuff work to get a sweat going and work on repairing my figure :-p
Big improvement on my jerk, i was putting my back foot competely flat and my leg straight. Putting my toe down and knee bent and getting much lower and exploding better. Feels way more solid and i'm not losing it forward.
Hips are completely shot. Willing to bet i won't be able to walk for days. Edit: the endorphin rush from working out was AWESOME
Decided to do the impossible and squat. Brought my camera to check out my form and thought it looked pretty solid.
Ramped up some weights and since I'm planning on doing some more squatting the next weeks I wanted to check how the ground before me lay. My all time PR was 140kg with belt and wraps but that was a long time ago.
120kg was easy 130kg still was easy 140kg was easier than when I maxed it a year ago. Got stuck in the whole because I leaned to far forward on 150kg so I had to bail and drop the bar.
All the lifts were done beltless and needless to say I'm shocked. I haven't squatted for almost a half a year and that was prolly 100kg x 5 with poor form.
Sadly my camera died and I think I only got the 130kg or 120kg lift. Would have been good to see what went wrong in the 150kg and how far my form had slipped in 140kg.
Will upload the vid when I get enough battery charged up.
It wasn't even that much weight (115lbs!) and I didn't record it, but I know I squatted deep today.
I know this because my ass hurts (no homo).
I know this because I'm going to hate walking tomorrow.
Yet... it feels liberating. A few times I definitely leaned forwards a bit too much, but for the most part I really sank into the hole and blasted out thru my heels (before I wasn't sitting far enough back). I have weak glutes. Really weak glutes. Damn Phat Ass. I'll try to record myself next time to get a better idea of what I need to work on
Ok I have a question for you guys"
When doing warmup sets for squats (like say with just the bar) do you feel like you can't squat very deep because you're going to fall backwards or something? IDK how to quite explain it, but I need some minorly significant weight on the bar for me to not feel off balance while squatting.

Good stuff. I feel the same about having some weight on the bar. You'll get used to it after some time. Do some heavy deadlifts, stiff legs and good mornings and your glutes will love you for it.
I've been going back and doing form with JUST the bar when I finish on deep squats, plus the occasional check on front squats, to make sure I'm doing it right. The only time I ever feel like I'm going to fall over is if my stance is too narrow, or I was leaning before I began the motion.
I never kept track of my progress but since November I have improved so much, I am so happy I am going to post my life changes so far.
Fitness- 1. Went from being able to run half a mile to 5 miles without stopping 2. Recorded lost 25 pounds 177-155 but that was compared with a doctor check up from July 2010 to March 2011 but I was fatest in November. I am assuming 30+ pounds lost 3. Started lifting weights now and has notible results on my chest
Diet- 1. Still eat junk food but a lot less often 2. Became Lacto-Vegetarian in January and it's been 2.5 months now. These past 2.5 months have been the highest improvement in weight loss
Life- 1. Got a girlfriend :D 2. Much happier overall 3. I get compliments all the time on how much better I look 4. I can fit into medium shirts now, this is a life 1st
The reason I started my weight loss was because I looked so horrible in my Terran t-shirt. I was disgusted with myself and I promised myself I would start running right after black Friday. I got some great advice on here I would just like to express my thanks to TL.
