I'm just so tired. It's been a week and one day. I've worked out every day except for one day. I've eaten a low carb diet and I'm just so tired.. =(

Besides your crappy running shoes, looks good from those angles Although from the angles it can be hard to tell if your back is rounding out at the bottom. Would still recommend barefoot/socks over those.Minor detail, your wrists aren't straight. SS recommends them straight with thumbs over so that you don't accidentally start pushing the bar up with your arms and shoulders, so that might be something to note. It's also easier to make sure your traps are holding the weight correctly with straight wrists and elbows back. On March 06 2011 06:45 jjun212 wrote: I feel like stopping.. I'm just so tired. If you're a complete novice lifter, it's almost always recommended to only work out 3 days a week, so what are your reasons for the 6 days and diet overhaul?

I'm feeling a bit better, but I'm hungry almost all the time. Have you guys got any tips for me? Also, I'm natural colon cleansing by eating only raw fruits and vegetables. There's no real scientific support to colon cleansing... basically a waste of time. Just eat correctly instead. Well, I really need to eat less food overall. I'm not fat, really. I'm 6'1" tall and I weigh close to 200 pounds. Not really fat, but I'm getting there, and I only give myself another 4 or 5 years before I completely ruin my body. I guess I'll search through this thread more carefully for some tips on 'eating right' that seem attainable to me. So far all I've managed to do is cut out soda and fast food from my diet. Eat right and lift heavy. You'll get the body composition changes. Probably don't need to lose much weight at your height... just change body comp by lose fat and gain muscle On March 06 2011 06:45 jjun212 wrote: I feel like stopping.. I'm just so tired. Like said, if novice you should be lifting 3x a week and nothign else. Low carb diets tend to have transition periods so you may want to up the carbs a bit by eating some more fruit anyway

Spread the floor with the knees when coming out of the hole. 2nd vid you can see your knees coming in a bit as you come up from the bottom. Can initiate by sitting back more likely... where is the weight distribution in your feet? You want it to be more back towards the heels. Can look up a bit to neutral (look at the wall) if you wanted but what you're doing is fine. I like pure side view a bit better but shrug... Looked OK overall.

I just finished my work out and feel great. I think I just hit a minor speed bump because I usually sleep around 10-11pm and wake up early but last night I was texting with a girl and it got pretty hot so I didn't sleep until 2:30am. I still got 7 hours of sleep but my body just didn't feel the same from sleeping that late...

I'm always WAY stronger on my first lift of the day than on my second or third. For example, if I go BP -> Squat -> Deadlift, BP will be by far the easiest. If I do this I feel like I can add 2kg/session on it, but if not, 1kg/session would be difficult. Is this normal?

Yeah, hopefully he does better in the C&J, although I've heard his snatch is generally stronger.

Yes, there is some decrease between sets. How long are you resting between them though?

Had a scary miss on his 3rd too! I'm not sure what happened but he collapsed when struggling out of the squat jerk. All in all a disappointing session. The lower weight guys hit more lifts though.

Public holiday tomorrow, looking forward to spending the extra time trying some cleans, I need to learn them eventually. I just don't think my body is capable of doing a front squat though, weight doesn't balance anywhere. Gonna try and hit those trilaterals and glutaceps maybe even my quadritoids.

Yes, there is some decrease between sets. How long are you resting between them though? 5-6 minutes. And I'm talking about a decrease between exercises with completely different muscle movements. For example, my workout on Friday was: Squat: 94kg x 5 x 3 (easy) Bench: 89kg x 5 x 3 (HARD) My workout on Sunday was: Press: 64kg x 5 x 3 (easy) Squat: 98kg x 5 x 3 (hard) This is despite the fact that I couldn't finish 63kgx5x3 on press last Tuesday. I've been starting with squat in 90% of my workouts, but the 10% of the time that I start with the upper body lift it's far easier to do. Consequently, squats get harder when I do this.
