I got coaching from desrow a few months ago on PvZ. since then my pvz has gotten so much better. went from plat to beating diamond players without too much trouble.
months later, I'm asking him questions about PvT, and he's nice enough to answer my questions on skype with great detail.
desrow's coaching is not only a learning experience, but it's really fun too :D

My my past experince from being an avid desrow steream watcher back before he was featured, even being a mod too. He bm's and rages a lot. He has hurled quite a few insults at me and also has harassed myself by posting my personal info on his stream, which caused me to be harassed elsewhere (facebook and twitter being main ones). He has also wished death on me. I'm sure I am not the first to have this happen. So if you want coaching from him. Keep that previous bm in mind and also think about how he treats his students.
He yells at his students often and allows for his sutdents to be put on a sort of trial by fire with his stream watchers. He doesn't allow the player himself to really improve. But yells at them while being obs in a match. So don't miss something or you're going to be yelled at. Thats his coaching style. I've seen it in action and honestly there are more qualified coaches that will give you better results, without all the yelling and demeaning attitude desrow takes to teach you.
I generally would not post this, but as people in this thread have already metioned the yelling and attitude. I felt I could at least give come experince on the matter. As one who used to watch a lot and someone who desrow has a personal vendetta against. He is not generally someone who I would recommend to anyone for coaching. Unless that person was my worst enemy.

when desrow coached me the "yelling" was more like a caster being excited about a game.
he talked fast and loud, but the things he was saying weren't rude. he was just really into the game trying to help me do things in time/the right way. never once did he say anything to insult my gameplay.
this is my personal experience as a student.

Well, if I remember correctly you did something to piss him off as well, including continually harassing him or BMing the hell out of him one night.
He doesn't just mindlessly yell at you, and it isn't yelling. The idea behind it is that you won't forget it if it is told in an aggressive manner. It isn't shouting to feel important. And that is maybe 2% of the lesson, the other 98% is teaching you how to execute build orders. Also, his student replays packs are good, and you can learn a lot from them.
He is a good coach, unless you want to never be criticized for what you are doing wrong (which is really pointless), and I would recommend him. If anything, a coach is not always the best player, experience (of which desRow has plenty) is the key.
EDIT: Just remembered, how on earth is it trial by fire? Anyone BMing the student or making snide comments is banned...

sorry to say Ive seen it aswell but desrow this guy is 100% correct..I seen this happen long ago the first time I have ever been into desrows stream he was swearing at his student who was no more then 14-17....the kid asks a question and he barely answers the question asked . I dont know desrow and ive only ever seen that 1 lesson and I was shocked on his ability of teaching and the way he belittles his students. Im currently in the canadian military and Ive trained many soliders in my day and I would NEVER talk to anyone like that even kids on Basic.
Mind you Ive only seen 1 lesson so he could have changed since then (being around 5-6 months ago)

Have to agree. The only times I watched his stream he was very bm and rude. Was surprised that a featured streamer would be like this.

Sounds like a nice guy. I'm glad he did something like this because I didn’t know much about him before this post. I have seen his name obviously but never knew much about him due to his comparatively speaking lack of accomplishments
