It's almost never fully readable in any Video or Still shots, mostly because 100% side-view is a really crappy shooting angle. Because of the way most Video angles are shot, the area from the pecs up to the head and the front 2/3 of the sleeves are visible. This is the general "money" area for design and logos. So the higher-set logos like Neonaticide's really work better for media & visual presence. While logos at the bottom/sides of shirts can look nice, they aren't normally seen that much. I ended up not really having time (then forgetting when I did, oops) to get a design done, but I did want to point out a functional design aspect that's generally overlooked. Most team shirts have this problem, which makes them look nice for the group-photos, but don't really have a visual distinction (or mark out their sponsors) when the player is on camera for a head-shot (which is actually most of the time they're on camera). Also, someone needs to design a Bandana for Qxc.
Thanks for the tip I was just going off the fact that most of the GSL booths are from a 3/4 shot and they always have sponsors on the outside of the sleeve. I will look into moving it around for better viewing and FXO if needed can make that small adjustment :D Thanks again for the feedback

They do have sponsors on their sleeves. Problem is that they're dead center on the sleeve, so you can't actually read them. Which leaves you with 1/2 words and, if you don't know what they are, you're sitting there trying to google it because you're confused. It doesn't have to be shifted too far forward, just about 1 inch would cover it. On paper, it doesn't look as good, but the images are more noticeable and they actually sit naturally, once you've put a shirt on.
If you want some reference points, American Football, when they're remembering or celebrating something, puts the patches on the front-side of the shoulder pad. There's a reason they do that, as it's always visible in a front-shot.

I agree, keep it simple. I particularly like the jacket by Neonaticide.

I went ahead and got my design to a bit more of a finished level. I did do it somewhat in a team shirt style with the name in the back but I'm thinking of possibly replacing that with a snake to represent more of the Razer logo.

Hey, that's not mOOnGLaDE! D:
I might consider putting this design up somewhere to actually be printed after this though, not sure as of yet. Obviously without the FXO branding if I did that though. I hope you all like it in some form or another though. :D

Too bad we can't redesign the FXO logo as well. That thing is a mess of muddy gradient firefox knockoff. I'm pumped, though, look for myine later.

![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/qIoeh.jpg) I made this a couple of days ago, i was going to do a jacket and pants too but i got busy and dint get a chance. I thought i would throw this up anyway though since the deadline is tonight. I tired to make it simple, and i changed the logo around alittle. Like 0neder said the old one isnt very strong.

Thank you! I am glad you like it!
Andamanen - "I agree, keep it simple. I particularly like the jacket by Neonaticide." I am glad you like the jacket. I did keep the design simple and clean. I didn't want to distract the eye too much from the main focus of the articles of clothing. I see A LOT of really nice designs that I like but feel there is just too much going on. Thanks for the compliment! ^-^

Haha! I really would love to have one as well, maybe I can if I win Lot's of other great designs to compete with though. Thanks for the kind words!

It would be too expensive to use the gradient version of the logo anyway as silk screening uses one color application, so doing a gradient isn't possible unless you do halftone dots. There are more expensive options for making gradients work but I doubt they'll go that far with it, I could be wrong however.

My attempt, The name would go on bottom portion, the design would follow on to the back. In a similar circle on the back, there would be the razer logo. The brownish orange would bring out the green in the razer logo.
The jacket would have a similar design (full body yin yang) but inverted, so that it would really amazing in full set.

Submitting this.. I'm in the middle of moving so it's not quite finished just yet but I don't want to miss the deadline. Hopefully I'll get it cleaned up and my other ideas uploaded before the deadline.

This my entry. Hope I win!
The dark grey helps to make you slimmer. And the orange swooshes are to draw attention to the logos as well as the entire design.

Here's my design! I really wanted to emphasize the contrast of colours in the logos presented, and use their shapes to create the overall flow of the design.
Note: I know they're not the most polished piece of concept, so if by chance you choose my submission, I will be happy to give you what you need (smoother lines, better layout, etc).

Really sloppy photoshop job, but you get a good feel for what the FXO brand could be. Here's my approach:
- Mid-tone grays (blacks and whites are too common, this is a nice unique neutral) - Slighty more reddish orange, but still unique to other teams' reds. - Neutral with smaller splashes of orange - it is a very strong color and the current uniforms just have way too much of it. Very sporty like a futbol jersey, less like something samwise or the comic-book guy from Simpsons would wear (no-offense). - Smaller logos for a more professional feel. - FXO logo integrated with zipper band on jacket. - Player name visible on front as well as back of jersey (how often do you see the back of the jersey during the game?) - Bull/Bear logo not shown in this concept. I'd like to refresh the logo, but ran out of time. If it had to be on the unis, I'd put it on shoulder patches (side of shoulder, not front). I think it looks quite nice without it, though.
When is the deadline? now? 12 hrs? 24? I'd like to work on a similar direction with a color to replace orange, since so many teams have colors close to that already (IM is yellow/red, Prime is Red, Startale is Red and Yellow, and TSL is Red and White). I think a more unique color can really make the FXO brand stand out in the SC2 scene. Stay tuned.
FWIW, I'm a professional product designer for Altec Lansing that dabbles in branding and logos. There are some pretty fun ideas here, but I wanted to go for something that looked professional, sporty, and as good as the best BW unis, and I think this fits the bill.

P.S. You could make the jersey's orange if you want, that's a lot of orange though. Stay tuned for colorway 2.

Green would be a great color for FXO. It stands for Money and ties in with FXO's motto. It's unique in the Korean SC2 scene. It's less polarizing than orange, but less common than red/blue.
