I post on forums where drugs and steroids are discussed all the time, I'm sure if someone found out I'd be peeing in a cup monthly for the rest of my life, or maybe even just fired because I throw out opinions that don't align with someone who has power in my office(for example, I don't demonize steroids at all even if I personally choose to not use them, that's a very dangerous public image to have, even if it's actually a popular one). But then what happens if they stumble on this post? ![]() Or, because it's a single post buried and you don't dwell on the subjects, on a niche forum, it's differrent from having a discussion on said subject on a bigger forum? Think of things in terms of value and card advantage (actual cards or virtual cards). Collected Company lets you dig into your deck 6 cards deep and select up to two creature cards and put them onto the battlefield. Ask yourself three qustions:
Magical Christmasland For something like the new Nissa, you get a free land card and a 2/2 creature which just by itself is still decent. So it's still straight card advantage and thinning your deck from lands (while also ignoring the potential second creature you get off of Company). You're coming close to 7 lands anyway. So let's say your fire off a Company on your opponnent's end step. You search up for Nissa + one other, pick up a land, move to your turn, play your seventh land you tutored and boom instant planeswalker. Damn, that's a lot of value right there and can probably break open a long game. You top-deck Nissa late game. She tutors up her own land to trigger her own flip effect. That's... really neat! Good card design. Eh it's ok You fire off your Collected Company. You pick up a Nissa. You get a 2/2 body and a land card, thinning your deck. It's still in the early stages of the game so not much else happens. But hey, you secured your next land drop for free and have a 2/2 creature to chump block with at worst. You're not too upset if Nissa dies here. Alternatively, you draw Nissa as a card. It's a 2/2 body and basically draws you a free card at the same time except it's always a guaranteed land. So it's basically an Elvish Visionary with a bigger body. That's not terrible. Not amazing, but still decent. Even if you're land flooded at least it's still an actual thing you can play and thins your deck. Wow it's bad You Company and find a Nissa when you have one in play or find two of them. Hopefully you built your deck with enough creatures that you found other stuff. But maybe you just whiffed. That's really sad, but hey bad beats sometimes. At worst you still put them into play for your free lands and then ship them straight to the Graveyard due to Legendary/Planewalker rules. You top-deck a Nissa when you needed a land and you can't actually play it. Eh, it sucks. But then again so would any other not-a-land card. You top-deck a Nissa and your opponent uses a burn spell in response to the flip trigger. Ok, maybe an actual Planeswalker card would have been better since you have priority after casting it, so you always get at least one activation before your opponent can respond. Still, it's similar to if you played a card and your opponnent played a counterspell. Bad beats. So actually, overall the new Nissa isn't a terrible card. Hm. This has potential! And being able to semi-tutor for it with Company makes it even better. Sweet!

Real. Nothing really says that it needs to be live. Just put up a youtube video or soundcloud. Alternatively you set a live date. No one shows do it anyway and record it.

It's a really easy game to learn, and all the nuance comes in adapting to your opponent's play during the game - it's all about movement and baiting out attacks and dodges. I've been pretty consistently playing at least a handful of games each day cuz they're pretty quick and netplay is usually very good.

(Fair warning, it's from marasy, so full on touhou. But screw the haters, it's marasy!) I probably sound like an addict who only listens to that or something. Haven't listened to anything touhou the last two weeks though, buncha varied stuff. On the other hand it also means I get a "oh I'd forgotten the melodies were so good" vibe.

Dude, that combo ending in j.FP/ D. Aerial spike got me so hype, even if I don't touch Smash. I think he looks AMAZING in this game.
