The fear of that is the reason I will never liquid cool.
Went to the ophtalmologist today to check up on my diopter. I was reluctant to go because I wanted it to be a one time thing. Of course she mentions I have an elevated risk of glaucoma because of some periferal pigmentation leakage or something and need to have some sort of laser procedure making holes in my iris to relieve pressure scheduled next week. Then I need to revisit occasionaly to check up on my eye pressure. I just wanted to get new glasses with updated lens strength.. Doctor visits to just slightly increase quality of life when needing to make time for administratory and traveling tasks seems not worth at all.
I guess but I don't want to develop glaucoma. I'm also not that disagreeable in general so I won't go out of my way to tell someone to fuck off if it doesn't greatly inconviences me. Its just that now I need to make 2 more trips than I initially planned. 2 extra trips man, fuck
By the way, if anyone is interested in this sort of stuff:

They're giving you an LPI to prevent angle closure/increased pressure from pseudoexfoliation. As to how necessary it is, each patient is a little different. Sometimes I send people for laser other times I don't, but as a prophylactic procedure it's pretty benign and overall useful either way.
my grandmother had glaucoma definately want to deal with problems before you need surgery for that.
also if anyone's curious to what I'm up to since I haven't posted in forever, not much. Graduated college (Bachelors) worked a bit for a website company but the work there is inconsistent based on when there's stuff for me to do so now I'm starting to look for jobs that are hopefully a little bit flexible so I can still go to concerts which I do like once a month right now.

why are you (and people in general) scared of dentists? It's not like it hurts if they use anesthesia, unless they're cutting out your wisdom teeth, in which case RIP I guess

Wisdom teeth is probably what I need to go in for... I just HATE the drill sound. It fucks with my mental. And mind you, I've hand caught some of the deadliest snakes and spiders in the world, no problem. But dentists... fuck that.

I'm generally not, but my teeth falling out is a pretty big fear for me because when I get in a depressed episode the first thing that goes is brushing my teeth at an even passable rate. Then I went years without dental insurance so I didn't go, which only added more anxiety to it because my mind would only focus on the worst case scenarios.
After I got it checked out, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought and it's been taken care of, I'm fine.
oh yeah, brushing teeth is a struggle. I had a broken tooth (like one bit completely separated) but it was stuck in the tooth due to geometry and I just let it stay like that for almost 2 years. The dentist was happy to tell me there is enough of the tooth not destroyed by cavity so she will be able to just barely salvage it lol.
Wisdom teeth really suck though. Im lucky that my wisdom teeth are relatively straight so I got one pulled when it was almost out, which is pretty fine. Just like a 2 min operation, grabbed it with a hook and just fucking ripped it out lol. If it's stuck under the gum and they gotta cut it out of there... jesus fuck, the recovery is savage. Hope that's not your case. If it is, be ready to eat nothing but liquids for a week, opening mouth isn't going to be possible.
It's not just the sound with the drilll, but the vibrations themselves. I've walked out of dentist appointments with an anesthesia'd (I know, spelling) jaw but a big headache because of them resonating through the jaw and skull.
On the subject of teeth, ever had those dreams where your teeth fall out or they're really really loose and you can't stop touching them with your tongue or pulling at them with your fingers and you can taste the blood and it feels super realistic?

I've had some weird dreams (some of them drug-induced) can't say I've had one of those. I did imagine, that my tongue had fallen out and attempt to develop a new language that uses no tongue and I won a nobel prize for it.
