+ Show Spoiler + ![]() My wife made a sourdough starter after reading the book Sourdough. Gave it a whirl and it turned out all right. Crust was good but the crumb was dense and underdone, still yummy though and had a sourdough flavor so that was cool. Got another batch of dough going for later.

Is that crust on the surface or is the interior a bit hard, mordek?

No?? Vue shepherd's bush is 13 for an adult minimum and odeon uxbridge which is donkey's years away from actual London is the same. Tickets aren't even where they make their money ![]() If there was actually an odeon really near I would definitely by the unlimited card. Or a cineworld for that matter.

Also important to know is that sourdough along with heavy grain doughs (100% whole wheat, Rye, barley) need to sit for at least an hour (30-45 for Sourdough) before cutting them open.

Recently bought Endless Dungeon and I think various roguelike games could be perfect for this. Does this sound at all interesting? I want a stream of scips first date. That sounds like quality entertainment.

I still have darkest dungeon to finish as well as DS2 (and hopefully at some point DS3), a couple megaman fan games, probably a whole bunch of other stuff I could mooch off of my brother thanks to family sharing, card games (mtg, eternal), Overwatch, Path of Exile, etc Anyone have any particular suggestions for me? + Show Spoiler + And maybe somewhat importantly, would anyone watch? This isn't a few years ago when the forums actually had people on it Maybe if it was something I could be truly hyped about playing I'd be really into it? I heard hollow knight was good but mehhhhhh

I was going off the standard times I'd used before (40 minute rising period after shaping, 30 in the oven) and it looks like I should have increased those times.

This picture is off the internet and not my own bread, but sour dough should be darker than yours. somewhere just lighter than this + Show Spoiler + ![]() The best thing to keep in mind is if you arent baking in a wood fire, or at temperatures north of 400 its very hard to burn bread by leaving it in another 5 minutes. if you arent sure, a few minutes shouldnt ruin the bread.

Bread is very easy to make if all you have is a counter top, ingredients and an oven. a Bowl and wooden spoon help, but arent necessary if you dont mind clean up.

Putting water in Ramen noodles is very easy. Cooking fancy bread with pedestrian equipment lies somewhere much more difficult than very easy.

Cooking fancy bread with pedestrian equipment lies somewhere much more difficult than very easy. making bread is akin to ordering a pizza. you do a little bit of work up front and then wait and then you have food. Mix ingredients. oil a pan or put cornmeal down on a baking sheet, either knead or do foldovers on the loaf. plop it on the sheet.or pan, wait an hour an a half and throw it in the oven at 375-450 for 25-35 minutes and then take it out, wait 15-60 minutes and you have bread. if you have to perfect the bread, it takes more time and effort. but to go from ingredients to fresh bread is maaaybe 10 minutes of work if you arent being lazy and doing foldovers, probably longer the first times. due to inexperience, but once everything is memorized its actually no time at all. All the extras, like steaming, braiding, shaping, add ins, non wheat flours, extra proofing, etc. arent necessary for "Bread" they are extra details to fine tune how the bread ends up. but it's all bread. IF you have a bread machine it's easier than ordering a pizza, because you just dump stuff in a machine, press a button, and then transfer when it beeps to the oven. But by hand its not too much harder.
