In any case I guess the anime is over, although you could always switch genres to shojo or, if you insist, slice-of-life.

She's a local Malaysian gamer girl, very nerdy. We've been together a few months now. She lives across town but works a block from my house, so she sort of started staying over longer and longer periods of time to cut down on the commute, until eventually she was just here for a month straight and I was like "Hey, you want to just move in for realsies?" So yeah, that happened.

I guess completely killing rice too was a bit optmistic. Maybe I'll try some brown rice/chicken/beef/sweet potato/squash/random greenery type dishes or something for a few days.

Then again pancakes are thrice a week, and fake flàmmeküeche/pizza alternating once a week, which I could add something to but rarely do. ... And I tend to snack a bit on the evenings because I try not to dine too late to keep a rythm, but since I go to bed late I get hungry again in-between. >> Got plenty of nuts and chestnuts so I should eat them instead. And maybe add salad to my diet, you just wash it, cut what you need then put the rest back into the fridge, right? Can't hurt.

A lot of people basically sit on their ass all day and do nothing but office work. So for them eating a lot of carbs is pretty bad as they just become fat lards. That's why suddenly white rice is all voodoo bad for you. It's the "worst" of the rices while also being most popular. If you're worried about rice intake you can just switch to wild/brown type of rices. Sweet potato is fantastic too, it tastes quite nicely even if done plain and is rather good for you. Don't just remove pasta/rice/potatoes in favour of throwing some greens on. You want a mixture. Also hard to eat "healthy" if you don't enjoy actually eating what you're making. Better to find some kind of middle ground.

There's nothing wrong with having a bit of dairy fat in your diet o.0 I'm just trying to find ways to get the actual base of the meals a bit more varied :p Meats are so expensive though :< Btw, is whole grain pasta vs normal pasta just a meme? Or does it make much difference.

Improving your health through dieting alone hits a limit because once you have enough of the things your body needs (and aren't stuffing yourself with junk), it's designed to absorb less or piss out the excess. At that point, it's largely lifestyle changes that will make a bigger difference (exercise, sleep, etc.) and diet should mostly just be adjusted to match those. If you work out a lot, it's fine to eat carbs, it's just a lot of people don't so they try to compensate through dieting when it would be better for their body to just find ways to work out more and burn the carbs they're already eating.

For example, your meal windows pre and post workout. Honestly white rice is fine all the time for active lifestyles as long as its accompanied with slower digesting foods, since GI index is greatly affected by digestion time of the entire meal and your activity level will also dictate that your insulin spikes are used more productively by your body and do more than just consequently spike your blood sugar for nothing.
