Google Docs?
What are you looking for specifically?
Something other than google docs I guess. I'm not sure what neat features I may be missing out on Project deadlines and stuff. Can probably all be done through google apps just curious.
I hear people use slack for workplace communication (from the little I've used it it's a lot like discord). It has a free version you can try out but other than that I am utterly clueless when it comes to team management applications.
Slack is actually quite a bit different than Discord although it shares some similarities. It's great though, LiquidDota staff has used it over skype for a while now. The free version is pretty good for what we do, but depending on how professional the environment is you might need to get the paid version. And that can be fairly expensive since you have to pay per member.
But yea Slack has tons of integration with other apps (google apps and tons of other shit). The biggest issue people tend to have is that it's a massive resource hog (RIP your RAM).

Professors and TA's in a few of my comp sci courses have used slack to communicate with each other, and apparently they're rolling out a department wide network for students next year too.

Indeed, honeymoon is where you fully accept each other for who you are. If anything not bringing your paints would just be shitting on the entire concept.
It's a bot but it's a strange one. The website looks fine, and they even have facebook and they push some content. The bot or person that is advertising the site (He posted the same thing to bunch of smaller forums) doesn't seem malicious.

No one's reported it so it's hard to say.
We've been shouted at before for being unfriendly to new people. This bot really abused the trust man.
