I used to give the boots to Matthew but that's because I'm a biased fanboy and like to zoom zoom to the chests super fast then snipe isolated units from nowhere. Most of the units run far enough for me, since the cavalry isn't threatening in this game, and the casters usually can't deal too much damage to your frontline (and if they're in range to get your backline, then it means they shoulda been in range to die the previous turn or you fucked something up).

paladins are average stats, but they're not very low, and rarely are you gonna get capped in a hhm run, and their mobility is really strong. mounts in general are just very good. you need some flexible characters, and you can choose between sain kent and lowen based on the stats you want on your paladin

But it's still kinda cool to get recognized as I was walking up the steps.

So the week of Christmas the manager gave us the pizza + drinks for free, so we just tipped the waitress we often get really well as a Christmas gift. ![]()

You know you can RNG abuse and also figure out what the current string of RNG number is by checking the direction the movement arrow is when you make a diagonal move? (e.g. does it go up and then left or left and then up) On January 09 2014 09:17 Carnivorous Sheep wrote: Show nested quote + On January 09 2014 08:05 Frudgey wrote: I don't know how you guys end up getting a good Canas. Mine always end up about as good Roffles motivational speeches. I.E., they're bad. luna is probably the most broken spell in the entire game and canas is the easiest way to deal with generals, which tend to be the biggest threat late game he also happens to be really good against wyvern lords too toss him your body rings to up his CON and he can get in double attacks with luna fairly easily against the low SPD high POW and DEF units that I just mentioned this is mainly due to my aversion to most axe users in the game - you just dont have enough good ones to deal with all the lances late game if you don't dip into magic, and canas is probably the best option after pent since half the time priscilla and serra are healing, lucius is waaaaay too fragile, and erk's stats are meh Afa Drops Nino~ On January 09 2014 16:29 JonGalt wrote: I recently started fire emblem for the first time. it's the one for GBA and the main character is lyndis. we're on our way to castle caelin (?) cause lord lundgren is being a little cocksmooch and trying to kill my long lost grandfather. we just picked up serra and erk and crossed the border. it's a fun game. that shy as fuck Pegasus knight bugs the hell outta me. she's like lvl 2 and I'm pretty sure she's gonna get one shotted real soon. Wait till you get to Hector Hard Mode and you insist on training all of the Pegasus Knights cause you want to Triangle Attack all the time. General Trianlge Attack is way cooler though. Why did they have to take that out QQ. On January 09 2014 17:22 Alaric wrote: Eh, Florina is pretty 0K, because you get her in Lyndis' campaign so you can train her somewhat easily and her very good speed makes her able to attack twice super early, so she oneshot stuff, although she's so frail you gotta heal her afterwards everytime. Plus spam of bandits so axes. I didn't remember Canas' Con being so low, damn. And support conversation are important, considering that almost half of the story (and nearly all of the backstory) is contained there, both for the main plot and for the individual characters. ![]() You stats in Lyn Prologue carry over to the Main Campaign. So in Hard Mode you can tank the boss until his weapon runs out and then use him as a self-healing punching bag (cause he's on a gate) to level everyone to 20. It also doesn't penalise your final score iirc so it's a great way to make the later chapters easier. On January 09 2014 17:29 Cixah wrote: Peg knights are usually a liabilty, even if you end up getting "triattack" it isn't even that good . Peg Knights have almost no armor and die so easily to bows that you can't even bring them to Ballistic maps where you would actually want them.Delphi Shield yo Also there's no way to rapid clear the desert map and pick up all the items with supah RNG or using PegaKnight as a taxi to ferry your thief around. On January 09 2014 22:09 Carnivorous Sheep wrote: you have to reset fe7 if anyone dies if you're running s rank hhm or else you won't get 5 star survival ~_~ triattack is pretty useless lol you're never gonna level all 3 peg knights Flying armada OP On January 09 2014 22:09 Carnivorous Sheep wrote: a lot of people swear by peg knights but i've never been impressed. as mentioned they get one shot by any sniper or get owned long range by ballista orz they're only good against magic users but those are far from the most threatening, and their low str means they'll damage to generals and other heavies that is somewhere between 0 and fuckall You're just bad. On January 09 2014 23:53 jcarlsoniv wrote: Fire Emblem: Awakening has some crazy good review numbers. I know I've been told it's worth playing here. Might have to pick it up, but idk if I wanna drop $40 on it ~_~ It is very worth it imo. It's also a great game for newer players since it's much easier to pick up and learn. I've detailed this a long time ago though so I won't repeat myself. On January 10 2014 01:30 SagaZ wrote: i am a bit late but peg knight are awesome, they singlehandedly make your fund rank without murdering your fund rank, i usually go with either one every playtrought FE7 for me was sumarized with paladins and boots hector rushing trough maps killing everything while pegs run around and collect stuff That's what Arena abuse is for. All that free money and exx-peees! On January 10 2014 01:47 Carnivorous Sheep wrote: ya but u can get other ppl to do that =[ pegs are pretty shitty combat wise already, if you use them like that they're gonna be even weaker combat wise, and i dont like devoting a character to pure utility beyond a thief, it just hurts your tactics + combat + exp ranking too much, and funds is like the easiest thing to 5 star besides survival anyways i've done a couple of hhm s runs with pegs and it jsut felt so much harder than not using them, it's like handicapping yourself zz i never understood why people loved 'em so much Cause they're cute. Well, only Tana was in FE:SS. On January 10 2014 02:50 Carnivorous Sheep wrote: you're way too obsessed with boots hector LOL pallies are much less durable than general though, like much much less :| pallies cant 1v10 yo, maybe lowen can 1v6 or something if you choose to use him but its still difficult... I managed to max stats Canas once. It was glorious. Dodge stuff all day. On January 10 2014 03:15 Scip wrote: dude, highest difficulty shadow dragon is soooo fun I played only the first 7 chapters or so but man was it a blast. Most of your units get 2-shotted so you need to build them meat walls or do some crazy tactics but that's what makes it so rewarding. MU Dracoknight makes things a lot easier though.
