If up/downvoting didn't have a lasting effect on your account and just was used to filter threads, it'd be much more civil and useful. | ||

Even then, potential for pictures of shit to crop up. 2) Do not stray into the strange and radical subreddits, ex. r/SRS, r/red[or blue]pill, r/circlejerk, r/politics, or r/conservative. 4) Some of the meta subreddits are great popcorn. r/SubRedditDrama best meta subreddit ever. For instance, now I know the top post in r/bitcoins is a suicide hotline list. 5) The academics subreddits are awesome and always have great links. r/asksocialscience speaks to me. Just stay away from the pretend academic subreddits like r/economics (go to r/academiceconomics instead). | ||
