Regarding 40k novels: Eisenhorn and Ravenor. The Bequin trilogy also ought to be good once it's completed. Anything by Dan Abnett is generally golden for those tie-ins.

Besides that: do you want just leisure books or books I would recommend also if you wanted some major introductory texts (for instance The Future of Power)?

EDIT: Also, Atlas Shrugged did not sit well enough for me to get through it. Anthem was great, and the Fountainhead was ok if abit...too dense on Ayn Rand for my taste. Atlas Shrugged is pretty polarizing, so you might love it or you might hate it, either or.

The Black Company (about anything by Glenn Cook actually).
If we go with H2G2, then Prachett obv. (they have this massive difference though that beyond the humour, H2G2 has moments where it shoves irony into your face and makes you laugh only to wait for the realisation to dawn on you and make you deeply disheartened; think SMBC existential comics that actually work).

Our changing planet is a good introduction into environmental stuffs.

Fictionwise, a few of us here are into the Malazan book of the Fallen by Erikson.

and what happens if you have any good units like archmage or azure drake which give spell damage AND can't be removed

or if someone has a weapon you can't do anything anything close to card efficient if you didn't draw ooze

I don't think people even run 2 SW:D just becase of how many games you'd lose with 2 SW:D and a MC in your hand

couldn't really play shit like warrior with starter cards while priest starters are pretty solid and trying to use heal to make trades efficient and get board control is pretty fun
