Also is Dawngate really that bad? Because from what LIMITED AMOUNT I'VE SEEN FROM BOTH GAMES it looks better than Smite. Of course the camera angle of Smite really doesn't appeal to me, but that's hardly fair to judge Smite on that criteria alone. Dawngate actually looked interesting though.
Problem is though, I'm not really attached to any of the champions in Dawngate or Smite. This is a problem for me because I'm a huuuuuuuge character loyalist.

I mean...all of the characters in Smite are from mythology, so if you don't like mythology, idk what to tell you.
And if you're gonna compare Dawngate to Smite, then I'd like to hear your reasons. I don't know anything about Dawngate, so I'm curious. The only backing you provide is that you don't like the 3rd person view, which is fine, it's not for everyone, but even you admit that that's not a fair way to judge the game's merits.

The only backing you provide is that you don't like the 3rd person view, which is fine, it's not for everyone, but even you admit that that's not a fair way to judge the game's merits. Well first of all,
I know very, very little about Smite. In order for me to do a fair comparison of the two I'd actually have to watch some gameplay videos and read up about the mechanics of the game. And to do a real good comparison of the two I'd actually have to play both of them, which I have not played either of them yet.
So until I actually play Smite for myself, I'm going to have to say that I have no opinion of it. I'll admit from what little gameplay I did see of it, it didn't immediately grab my attention. Of course, like I said, I can't judge a book by its cover so I'd actually need to play the game.
As for Dawngate, again, I haven't played it, but here is what appealed to me: (I'm going to be speaking in League of Legends terms because that's what I assume everyone is familiar with) -Baron only spawns once, and once you kill it it is gone for the rest of the match. However, the buffs that Baron gives become more powerful the longer you wait before killing it. -You can do worker harass! (So in this case, pretend that each team has a mining base on the map. You can go then kill the workers in order to cut the other team's passive gold generation) -You can switch summoner spells mid game -All champions are manaless. (The reason why I like this is because everyone here has the same "resource" I.E. no resource at all. One of the things that really bugs me about League is how some champions are manaless, some have some sort of weird resource, some have mana, etc. I'd rather everyone have mana or no one have mana. Reason for this preference is because I feel that it is easier to balance then having multiple different resources types. Kind of like a comparison from Heroes III to Heroes VI if you will)
And that's about it. Again, I'd like to stress that I know almost nothing about Smite, so it's very possible that Smite has the same features as Dawngate if not more. For example, I do know that Smite has multiple game modes, where Dawngate only has the one. (Although I think Dawngate is still in Beta)
Just some of the reasons why I think Dawngate might have some potential. And it's not that I don't like mythology (In fact I think it's cool) but I just like the medieval fantasy setting more. And if I did play Smite, it's entirely possible that the characters could grow on me. So I think the issue of character loyalty isn't really that much of an issue.
But I'd be surprised if I moved away from League of Legends anytime soon.

Being an Overlord, I don't know anything about Psychic Powers
As for Invisibility, remember that the rumor is Snapshots = (BS - 2) instead of hit on 6s, so it might not be as bad. Also, seems pretty well in line for a WC2 power from what I've seen, would be really strong for WC1. Also, Blessings can be denied now, and passing is harder and periling/denying seems to be easier on the whole.
But like I said, I've never used a Psyker and I don't particularly know much about them on the whole. If they get stronger, I'll be allying in a CSM Sorc just for some Warp Charge dice in the Psychic Phase.

@ Shelke: FU don't judge my true struggle
Also, anyone else notice that Soniv posts exactly the way he talks? It's so easy to read things in his voice because he accents the same things as when he talks. lol

Transistor is my GOTY so far. Only complaint I have with it is length. 6 and a half hour was all side missions and main mission.
|
Transistor crashed on me twice last night before I put it down. Fun as shit but really laggy/buggy for some reason.
But yes, suuuuuper fun and amazing soundtrack/vocal work.

That's kind of a bummer. I wanna play it but was hoping for a meatier experience. Maybe I'll just take it slow.

It's from the people who made Bastion. Hard not to expect short and sweet imo, but I also play games super slowly.

That's so weird. I played like... an hour and it was fine the whole time.

It felt unexpected taxing on my system for the few minutes I tried it out. I hope there's a performance patch at some point as the lack of adjustable visual settings other than resolution was a bit off-putting.

I guess I don't remember Bastion bring that short but I guess it was as about that length.

But "baron" respawns relatively quickly, and he gives you super-minions when you kill him. So he's more like Barinhibitor.

Shit really sucks right now. Think I'll try to drown my sorrows in DS tonight, but I dunno how entertaining I'll be.

Hope things get better Wave, though I have my doubts about your coping mechanism.
I'm planning to stream my shit HS arena run, if you'd prefer a laugh.
