Sound: Amazing. Darren Korb should make the soundtrack to everything in the entire world, full stop. The vocalist did an amazing job as well. VAs did a good job, no surprise there.

Art: Yeaaaah, can find nothing wrong here. The environment, the character designs, the VFX... breathtaking in a way I've rarely known. Fantastic on a cosmic scale, true art in motion.

Gameplay: Eeehhh. The amount of customization felt great. A huge variance in abilities and builds. However, turn() got repetitive after a while, and the whole "you can't do anything while you wait for turn() to recharge" mechanic sucked. Sorry, but that's how I felt. Run around, often unable to dodge anything because it's all too damn fast without spamming jaunt(), just praying you don't die before your next turn() comes up. Sure, it meant that you were supposed to balance turn() and regular combat, but it just felt restrictive to the extreme. I ended up not using it unless the enemy necessitated it, or until I found the absurd void() x3 -> tap() x2 combo that 1 shot everything but the MAN constructs.

Story: On the whole, good for how short it was. I liked the Narrator (I mean, it's a Supergiant game, who wouldn't?), and the world building via terminals and unlockable character bios was really fun. But the actual plot didn't blow my mind or anything, and it wasn't as compelling as Bastion. Hard comparison to make, I know, since Bastion was like GotY all Years, but coming from the same company, it's just didn't measure up in my mind.

So yeah. As a second game in their repertoire, I feel like the SFX and VFX were just as good (if not better in some ways), but the gameplay and story were lacking compared to Bastion. Good game overall, worth my money and time.
