The tournament was fun but I have no previous experience and no one to practice with an it shows. Except for the one other guy in the tournament I met who went 0-2 (who I went even with) I basically couldn't beat anybody, mostly got 2-stocked. I would take leads against most people and then I'd lose them because stupid and I didn't use half the tech I practiced. On March 28 2014 12:27 jcarlsoniv wrote: Had fun tonight. Thanks for convincing me to make the drive out there phyvo - sad we can't hang out more You're welcome, it's pretty awesome. I'll be back sometime late august. Me and the guys missed their train (the last train) so I only just got back from driving them home and now my sleep is going to be completely borked. The toll guy was grumpy too. IMO grumping at people is just never the right thing to do, stay true to the light, cure the cancer dudes. going to bed wow it's so incredibly late

WHY DO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WENT ON HERE Things to learn from watching 5-0 play: Game 1 on Stadium: 5-0 can DI better, or more, or ANY. His first 3rd and last stock are all deaths due to Poor DI. Nair is good, Bair is better. Get more comfortable with fighting with your back to your opp, especially since you can "cross up" easily with Side-b. If you're going to use Nair that much, try and L Cancel more of them. You had good momentum in the first stock when you were doing it, but as you started taking more and more percent you stopped doing it. Try not to approach ness from the ground. His Lighting Fire comes out too fast to shield often enough, plus puts you in retarded hit stun, and since I'm not sure if you know how to DI fully yet it'll be hard to get out of those situations without getting grabbed. Look more into approaching from the air and using DAirs to stall your momentum. If you make him jump he is much weaker unless he can sweetspot you with the Nair. Game 2: More DI issues. Ate a lot of damage from PK Fire. Your magic combo stuff was good, but you need to find the follow up for it. If you connect the third hit and send him out off stage move to recover. Dair is really good at ledge guarding on a character that doesn't have the best. Use that knock back time if you think you can't make it there to defend to charge up an Aura Blast (B) and don't forget you have your own aura mechanic once per stock to make use of too. I'm pretty sure it flat out Eats PK Fire if he tries to fire one into it, so you can use that to gain ground on him too.

I don't even know if I'm doing it right, I generally only attempt to DI left and right because all anyone ever talks about is DI in and out. I must not be doing it well though because I got comboed REALLY hard on several occasions off stream. I'm surprised that I started forgetting how to l-cancel but I guess I shouldn't be. I know how to aura sphere cancel and I never did it all night even on grounded smashes. I could have gotten to ledges a lot faster if I cancelled stuff with down-b. It's really frustrating. Someone can be standing next to me giving me good advice but when I get to the point where I'm supposed to use it I do my noob thing 9 times out of 10. Honestly now I feel really bad, and it's only worse because that's my last chance to play people for the next 4 months. Should have just gone to bed. See y'all in the mornin' -_-

You did fine for the most part, but those were the mistake you made in those games. It's like trying to watch your replays by yourself and having someone watch them with you. Come back in 4 months and we do this again. Did Soniv get any streamed matches? Or did he puss out and not play?

I'm not sure I even get a quarter of what Wave has, for around 30€ a month. As long as he's got a use for all of it it's not that bad in terms of cost-effectiveness.
