I'm just not used to the idea of a CEO having breakfast with his employees. I'd think that he would have better things to do or he'd just simply not care.

CSGO finals from yesterday were good BTW, couldn't watch the VoD since I was learning the Doto's and we got ultrafeeder Prime and Asshattron in back-to-back games, with hilarious results. Also, Tusk is best hero.

Or is it just all public relations stuff? I'm just not used to the idea of a CEO having breakfast with his employees. I'd think that he would have better things to do or he'd just simply not care. Our CEO is pretty awesome. Very down to earth guy, really cares about employees and customers alike. It's not a huge company (~150? employees in our east coast office), so most everyone knows everyone, or at least is familiar with everyone.

What's worse is knowing you're going to look back at this post two years from now and realizing that you were still a dumbass. How does one escape the deadly cycle of dumbass? By not looking at your post history?

It's like a more casual League of Legends, tons of fighting, no itemization, lots of bright colors, etc.

I'm not looking at it as a new tryhard game to replace BW/SC2/LoL/Smite for me, I'm looking at it more along the lines of a shooter. Quick matches, high action, some mechanical skill involved but nothing too demanding. As much as I love competitive games (indeed I've spent too much of my time on them in the past several years), sometimes you just need something fun and entertaining that doesn't require you to play at the peak of your eSports skill to feel good at. Streamlined gameplay and nostalgia is what Blizz has shot for in this and has indeed accomplished imo.

The comparisons to LoL and DotA just raise some unfair expectations for the game, IMO. If HotS is the Hearthstone of MOBAs what does that make League?

Well if you only have like 20 minutes, why not just get up a game of Heroes? Like Soniv said, I think it's going to fill the niche that Hearthstone fills, just as a MOBA
