My parents owned a ski store when I was born, so I've been skiing since I could stand basically. Slapping on skis is more natural to me than any other sport.
I tried snowboarding at like 16ish. I had a bruised butt and whiplash at the end of the day and traded my board for skis the next morning LOL

I've done both, they are both very enjoyable. Skiing is way more natural however. I went down a black diamond or whatever it is my first time out. Snowboarding you'd have to pay me a hefty sum for me to do the same slope.
Skiing just felt exactly like ice skating to me.
Thank goodness I don't feel that way because I can't stop when I ice skate.
Pizza and french fry bro. Dunno, just do a hockey stop on skiis? It felt the same to me.

Snow blades are actually really fun! If I was on the mountain more I'd definitely rent a pair again.

You can't snowplow (who calls it pizza?) on a Square/Diamond lol

First time snowboarding is a guaranteed sore butt.

I only ever wear them in my apartment, but good god they're comfy.
I have a similar viewpoint of crocs. I have always made fun of them, but my friend had a pair and told me to put them on. Holy crap they're comfortable.
why even wear shoes in the apartment just go shoeless @@
because having cold feet is literally the worst thing in the world.
I agree, though I've never been cold enough to need shoes indoors. No socks?

Someone doesn't watch South Park. And yeah, don't you just do a hockey stop? I've only been skiing once when I was 12 and I went down a Diamond slope with just ice skating skills. Wasn't very clean but I didn't die - or kill anyone.

Yeah, it's the "correct" way to stop, but really you just learn to control your speed with turns and riding the edge.
Though it's fun to ski up after my family stops and hockey-stop snow all over them lol.

Socks + Moccasins
Moccasins = slippers but BETTER
dafuq kinda weirdos are you
wtf wearing socks with moccasins is almost as weird as wearing shoes indoors.

if you don't wear socks, then when your feet sweat, the moccasins smell awful
this one was a "learn from experience" kinda thing
edit: don't get me wrong, I love being barefoot. I prefer never wearing shoes outside. But if I'm in my apartment and my air conditioning is on, my feet get cold sitting at the computer

So LoL players are way cooler than DotA players? I'm okay with that comparison.
On the topic of moccasins. Wearing socks with moccasins, is like wearing socks with crocs. First it's a bad combo. secondly, it's a fucking crocs/moccasin. You lose either way.
I mean if he's indoors who cares, but it's just strange because I've never had cold feet with socks on. All those years of gymnastics might have hindered the blood circulation to your feet or something, shit I don't knowz.

Oh, I can stop on skis. I can't do so on ice skates. They're like the same thing, but I can't do one. IT MAKES NO SENSE.

Maybe it'd help if you ice skated down a steep slope.

It's not just about warmth. Moccasins are so fuzzy and soft inside. Wouldn't you like to be walking on a warm cloud??

Pro tip: When you're going really fast, you can stab your toes into the ice. That's what the jagged front is for!

Piled up snow has resistance, as long as you can maintain balance and turn into it the snow does most of the work for you. Slick ice is different, requires much more precise edge control.
