It would probably be different if I grew up in Columbus instead. On the other hand, I remember when WC3: TFT launched here in SoCal. My friend wanted to go get the game at midnight at the Fry's, and the TFT development team would be there to sign your copy. I tagged along because I was going to buy the game anyway and I had nothing better to do. Man, that line was looooooong. I had no idea so many people were into WC3 and behind us in line was some kid who was talking with these two older folk about UMS games. I don't think we got home till 2:30am. I played 3-4 games of ranked and lost them all and with that I became Top 500 on US West. | ||

There's definitely a not insignificant genetic component, especially as relates to pitch training despite what some people claim. I cite as example my abysmal pitch despite years of significant early life musical training ;; | ||
