Granted, I was a tourist, but my "home" when I was in Paris was the in the 16th arrondissement so everything seemed pretty lively. Everything else was lively cause lulz tourism. TBH, I spent most of my time in France in Charente-Maritime. Specifically in a small town where everything was blissfully quaint.
