![]() He already admitted you were right that she doesn't have the mobility of an assassin like Zed, but hearing people say Riven isn't mobile isn't something you hear everyday.

I don't know whom else was a big Riven player at high elo other than Boxbox and BRNA at the time, but I know they still favor BT because they're good enough to follow the S2 standard of "hurdur ratios."

also a non zero value on the AoE cleave shit since people often are stacked up I think. I'd say they are pretty even. The extra lifesteal is offset by being able to aoe lifesteal instead of using spells on creep waves. however you need to keep stacks otherwise hydra is massively better edit: actually if you auto a lot and use all passive stacks stacked BT does a bit more damage

Riven has to fight most like an assassin than a bruiser, making burst scenarios where Hydra wins, more significant.

That said, I'd still prefer Hydra. Heck get both.

and the longer the fight goes the more autos +passive hits+combos you get all of which scale off your total ad like hydra cd is like what 8s? your cds are shorter

It leaves you with little lane control and overall gives you less lifesteal per wave since the AoE lifesteal penalty is so harsh that if you just took longer to clear the wave you'd get more life. That said, I'd still prefer Hydra. Heck get both. Lifesteal doesn't have diminishing returns like Spellvamp has. Hydra active is a 1:1 total spell, which hit harder than your stun does. By the time you roll around to a fully stacked BT doing more damage, Hydra active is up in a second or so anyway to jump ahead.

Well diminishing returns isn't the right word. Both lifesteal and spellvamp stack additively. But yeah, spellvamp is less effective on AoE spells; lifesteal doesn't have that.
