Too bad we don't have Maru vs TY, I doubt Stats is gonna be a real threat to Maru while TY was his TvT nemesis for so long (and looked relatively competitive in their GSL encounter iirc, so with even more practice he could even beat Maru who is shaky in TvT nowadays)
Matcherino vs Shopify could be interesting as well, Astrea is in good shape, it could be a very close match

Mystery gaming got a great draw against DKZ, I can see them forcing an ace match.
PH vs SLT is a really important match for both teams, and I can see it going either way; DNS and Firefly are favored but not overwhemingly, but Wayne will probably 2-0 Vindicta. Matcherino vs Shopify is also close, all the other matches look one sided (wonder why Elazer isn't playing for liquid.)
Shocked and sad that Cure/Gumiho still haven't been picked up by any teams. Creator is also a free agent that many teams in the league would love to have.

Onsyde and PsiStorm should pick up the win relatively easy, the other 4 matches could go to the Ace.

Cure, Creator and/or Gumiho are possibly asking for too big wages. Teams might like to get them but also are willing to roll the dice. Not what some users or the players themselves like to hear, but it's one of the likely explanations.
EDIT : It's not impossible that Classic would have remained a free agent if he didn't get picked up by Twisted Minds, partly because of what happened during the Code A of the Summer season.

Yeah, loser map pick are done on the new map pool and patch. The map for game 1 of each series has been announced before the weekend so its still on the current map and patch.

Well, Banes and Lurker are nerfed and Serral still won. But the Infestor buff make it easier to keep sneaking one behind the Terran army and Fungal them. At this point strategy of winning is pretty much Burrowed Bane, Lurker and Infestor. Terran will need to make a Raven or drop Turret everywhere.

If Reynor doesn't get his shit together in WTL/Trigger doesn't improve a lot, I wouldn't be surprised if we see undefeated Basilisk in second place at the end of the regular season again.

What infestor buff? Fungal deals less damage and has less range. The only thing that's better is that the infestor can pop and instantly fungal.

My MVP award for week 1 goes to SLT.Wayne who, like Serral, went 3:0 in map score, but was slightly less favored in his matches.

Yeah, that would really helps againts the 2-2 Bio timing push that Terran usually does, or the 1-1 Marine Tank all-in. I dont mean this as an overall buff, because it will be worse for Zerg in lategame, but it give them another way to stop the mid-game Terran push.
