Trap’s my current favourite player but he’s either incredibly unlucky or he’s taking liberties with pauses in the last year or so. There was one against Zoun in particular (I’m pretty sure) where the momentum completely flipped post-pause and it left a bit of a sour taste for me.

That said, I can't see him topping either Dark or Rogue, unfortunately.

G4 Roaming stalkers backstabbing and catching WPs, the way he micro's his engagements is amazing. That first WP + Archon he sniped was awesome, he had to blink forward and immediately find and click on the WP before it flew over the cliff out of sight, he's so clean. He catches Disruptors coming out of production and pounces, then goes for the full attack. He keeps doing something I don't see others do too, he lets his chargelots soak up the first hits of a fight, then immediately pulls almost all of them to the side minus a couple to get a couple more hits off because they're going to die anyway. This way he keeps more of his army alive and it's harder for the opponent to target down the chargelots, and he can make a bigger arc. Just beautiful. G1 his micro with his 2 proxy gate was great as well, he was actually SUPER close to killing that remaining stalker and letting a couple units survive for when his batteries finish. There was 1 moment where if his zealot stopped chasing the adept and turned around and swiped the stalker once, the stalker would have died before Trap's battery finished. Creator really 3-0'd Trap after G1. Amazing play, seriously looks like next level SC2, THIS IS THE POTENTIAL I WANT TO SEE. I seriously feel like Creator is a T1 Protoss based on what we've seen this season in terms of how good and impressive his play is. With a week of prep I think he has a chance to beat Dark/Rogue, and if he loses, I'll still be able to be happy that Rogue/Dark get another deserved win, while Creator got an amazing 2nd place.

I just skimmed the games, but... Creator just... dominated?? Like he took every fight perfectly, and smashed through Trap. Am in awe.

In comparison with European Zerg players, I think Lambo has shared some of the qualities that Rogue has. But,.he needs to rework on his mechanical skills so that he can be on par with Serral and Reynor in the high-stake matches like Bo5 or Bo7.

Trap seems to be a bit underwhelmed while under pressure, but Creator is playing free at the moment, and he has multiple good builds that similar to how Zest play PvZ. If Creator can take 2 early games from Rogue, it would be very exciting.

Rogue kills players people actually want to see win 3. Rogue has a track record in these long series 4. Its PvZ in a longer series with a top Zerg I just don't see Creator surmounting everything, this is the perfect setup, the race that hasnt won GSL in years has a player thats on a crazy career hot streak that everyone is happy and excited for and hes facing the player known for killing hype and winning in the late stages of tournaments. Whatever chances Creator has are very very minimal imo

I just feel that Creator game align more with sOs and Zest with those crazy build and timing, which could work better against Rogue.

Maybe he'll get 4-0'd but getting revenge on Rogue from the ro6 would be a great way to cap this run off ![]()

Creator was on a win streak and one more win by him would just be a blowout. For the ZvZ, even if it went 2-3 more games, as a viewer would it have been any more interesting. I agree that in non-mirror semis a bo7 offers a lot, but I don’t think bo7 would have improved this semis at all.

Let’s be fair Creator played really well, I was impressed myself. It’s a few good series vs Trap’s pulling off of numerous, numerous clinics over a 3 year period, let’s not go overboard :p It’s not like Creator is playing Protoss at a level we haven’t seen before or anything. I dearly hope he can pull off a win against Rogue, but it’s a long series and PvZ. Even in a meaningless practice Bo7 with no pressure whatsoever behind closed doors I’d favour Rogue, and this is the biggest stage, with one of the most mentally clutch players in the history of this game against one of the flakiest. I’ve been wrong before this season, as my Liquibets will attest to, I certainly hope I am. Rogue is just a killer of hype, dreams and souls
