It wasnt the same position though, Serral did not have enough Corruptor, no Broodlord and Infestor. He was fighting MaxPax Skytoss with mostly Queens and lost. The reason for that is because MaxPax was getting so agressive with him, from the fake Cannon Rush, into Glaive Adept, into VR harrassment that force Serral to make more Queens than he wanted to because his Spire was late. All of those things that MaxPax did help him get into a better fight later. Showtime did none of that other than some Oracle harrassment. | ||

This game he wsnt at bl tech for a long time too but didnt take shit engagements. | ||

No, he canceled the b5, wanted to trade and took a fight he shouldn't have, his mass queens compos was actually good considering the lack of tempests who usually counter this style. According to slowly, he stated himself he threw the game with this engagement. He clearly could have gone for corru earlier but chose a more agressive approach anyway. Anyway, it's good for serral but I am bit sad for showtime, it's crazy how poor his results are considering his skills, no top 4 at the dh since 2019 maybe even 2018... | ||

Personally, I think if you want to fight Skytoss with Queen, its better off to used Ravager for Corruptors, like what Dark did. 10 Corruptors aint doing shit against Skytoss, Ravager Biles can actually kill stuff when used with Fungal. And if you give Serral the choice, he would have gone for much less Queen and more Corruptors, he was forced to make more queen because of the Voidray harrassment from MaxPax. As for Showtime, I think his game is too reactive and defensive for his own good at time. Stats used to play with the same approach, but then he bring it up another level with more harrassment and timing push while keeping the same defensive presence on his side. His win over Serral at SAHSC was amazing to watch. | ||

He would be Back in shape in no time then. To be fair his path wasn t as hard as it will be, if he want s to win a tournament again | ||

Yeah he’s one of those guys who almost always looks good in his games but hasn’t had many deep runs lately to really back it up. I think he’s a bit like Heromarine, plays a straight up game that’s really solid and generally better than other Europeans, but there’s just that brick wall of a Serral/Reynor who are just as consistent but even better again. | ||
