this has been a fun tournament so far, definitely not predictable

I am hoping Maru to advance in order for Reynor to test his ZvT skill.

Dark had the economic and map control advantage for more than half of that game. He nearly killed Reynor when he destroyed his 4th. Reynor had a lead early, threw it away and then had a tech advantage with a smaller economy. That game was very even after the early game. I don't think Dark was ever in a good position apart from brief moments where he overwhelmed Reynor's 4th, but then Reynor just held and kept spiking back up in army supply.

For a lot of the game Dark didn't have enough drones to saturate his four bases anyway

Starcraft is an unforgiving mistress, I don't think the Dark hype was at all misplaced if anything he looked scarier than Reynor that series but Reynor clutched it out.

Is reynor better than serral now? Serral hasnt seemed as clutch or untouchable recently to me.

Thats two big comebacks from Rey Rey. Stats and Dark blew their leads.

No, it really wasn't :D

He looked better than Serral for most of 2020, towards the end Serral looked better again, and now Reynor looks better.

Such a deserved victory from Reynor, his next opponent better be ready

Still salty about Serral losing? lmao why did you bring Serral again into this thread? this is quarterfinals, not RO12, cannot hold your hate much? because the individual I'm talking to always talks crap about other players who are in consideration for best in the world when Serral loses

I think its safe to say that at this point in time Reynor is indeed better than Serral

Saturate the minerals sure, but he had much higher gas income which is how he could afford so many Mutas in the first place.
Dark's big mistake was not addressing Reynor's Vipers with his own or even with some Corruptors. He had enough gas income to afford to.
Also his Overseer control (or lack therof) cost him some opportunities to really capitalize on some of Reynor's overextensions.

last game was great, sadly Dark couldn't close it out

Reynor's been sloppy, but he's been decisive and resilient when it mattered

Who used those two words - perfect and unbeatable?
