Due to the announcement of another, larger tournament on the days of this event, we're being forced to indefinitely postpone The Three-Winged Angel tournament. We do not yet have a new date for the event, so please remove it from your calendar. I will post new information if and when we have new dates. I apologise for the change of plans.

...it's funny how people who are super whiny with events being moved over their stuff are then the ones doing the same with others...

If this is directed at my event, which I guess it is :
My event has had dates set for 2+ weeks, people are more than welcome, as always, to contact me and to ask for my event dates before I release the official schedule. It's not always possible to announce full information ahead of time because of other reasons.
My event doesn't actually clash with this event bar on one day - every day starts 6 hours earlier and will be done before this tournament starts.
This is how SC2 events have been going on forever - you can't just run a 7 day event and expect nobody else to run anything for 7 days? It's never worked that way. I worked like crazy to always avoid Basetradetv events whenever possible, but it isn't always possible, and I run the same system now with anyone that wants to talk with me as Rifkin did with me, i.e. telling you event schedules ahead of time, pushing stuff around etc.

Admitting it has been cleared up, editing the liquipedia page might be needed there

Qualifiers start tomorrow!
|
With the qualifiers starting in just a few hours, We've decided to add a Matcherino to the event as well, mostly so that you have the opportunity to purchase the REPLAY PACKS from the main event (Not Qualifiers). Replay packs are $2.50, and that will include close to 100 games, so it's not bad ROI.
Find the Matcherino here: https://matcherino.com/t/ThreeWA. If you don't want a replay pack, just use code "ThreeWA" to help with the prize pool!

Congrats to our first 4 qualified players, who join our 7 invitees in the group stages!
Tomorrow's open qualifiers will determine the final 4 qualified players. Subsequent seeding into the Group Stages is determined by Qualifying Match Score.
|
Congrats to our 4 final qualified players! Groups have now been assigned, with map score determining priority placement in the groups with fewer invitees.
Join us as the group stages start tomorrow at 17:00 GMT (+00:00). I'll be hosting the event, with Chickenman and Renegade lighting up the mics for the cast. Catch all the action on Twitch with CreightonOlsen, Indy, Maralekos and gl1de.

Quick announcement: Tomorrow's matches will be delayed by two hours, as Blizzard has announced server maintenance that is due to start at the same time as our event. Group B will play in the same order, but will now start at 19:00 GMT (+00:00) Never mind. It's NA server only. Same time as scheduled, with Grant and Steadfast calling the action!

How is SortOf 3rd and MaxPax 4th in Group A? Isn t the Tie Breaker a Mini League from the 3 Players: MaxPax 2-1 goblin SortOf 0-2 goblin SortOf 2-1 MaxPax Wich leads to the Standing 1. goblin 3-2 2. MaxPax 3-3 3. SortOf 2-3
That SortOf beat MaxPax head to head shouldn t matter, as there is no 2 was tie between them in the first 3 way tie breaker.

No because goblin has better map score, so he is ahead of the other two in the tie breaker so then it just comes down to SortOf having the head to head win.

Wardi is correct! Just wanted to add that you can see the relevant rule in the rulebook here:
Players will be assigned a rank (1-5) in their group based on the following criteria, in order: Difference in match wins and losses (Match Score Delta) Difference in map wins and losses (Map Score Delta) Head-to-head results (Head-to-Head)
All players are assigned a rank, regardless of how each break affects them specifically. Since SortOf and MaxPax are equal in tiebreak criteria 1 and 2, they move to tiebreak criteria 3 to determine their group ranking.

My mistake was that I thought goblin had the same Map score as SortOf and MaxPax, wich would result in a 3 way Head to Head, where SortOf would be behind MaxPax and not he other way arround.

And with that, today's Group B has completed! Congrats to Soul and GunGFuBanDa, who took the first and second spots - landing them straight into the quarterfinals. The Ukrainian Trickster Bly squeaked through another three-way match-score tie in this group to earn a seat at the table for the 1v1v1 FFA on Thursday. Full results below:

Tune in tomorrow at 17:00 GMT (+00:00) to catch all the action!
