I want this kind of optimism in my life.
I'm expecting 3z 5t RO8 with people going - look, zerg's fine, Terran is the issue. Then having a ZvZ finals with those same people being silent.
wait..... Do you think HeroMarine has a chance vs Zoun or ShowTime?
Aligulac gives heromarine equal odds against showtime and a 75% chance against zoun - in a bo5.
Not a ton of cross region data for these players so hard to predict, but heromarine certainly isn't an underdog to either
We have to add to that the fact Protoss players aren't having a great time either. So I believe Heromarine has a chance to win a BO5 against both of them. Technically everything can go south with Rogue considering he's the most chaotic player and probably the only pro with 3 WC titles who can play that bad on occassions.

Rogue is that Kind of Player, where both him winning the tournament and getting bopped in the group Stage are absolutly realistic scenarios.

Considering the only other player with 3 WC titles is sOs I'm not sure I agree with that statement

But sOs cannot play that good anymore! But yeah, should have been more specific And now I'm sad because you reminded me how deep has sOs fallen

Yeah, unfortunatly for SOS, you can get rid of the 'occasionally' in your statement :/ He never was my favorite Protoss tbh, but it s still sad to see him playing nowadays, considering how much better he used to be...

Well, he‘d have to lose a Bo5 to get kicked out. And eventhough INnoVation kind of destroyed him a few weeks back in a Bo5, I don‘t see that happening in a groupstage. Especially in what I would consider to be the weakest group in this tournament.

It's Rogue we're talking about! He was able to lose in a weak Code S group against builds that he should have known on a map he should have vetoed :D
I think Zoun and Rogue will take both opening matches, with Zoun vs HeroMarine ending in a 2-1. Zoun has really impressed me in GSL and he's doing past matches against Terrans such as Special and TY have been much better than expected.

Every time I've seen him he's had good moves, but didn't look the most solid.
Has anyone seen all the series he played against TIME? I didn't see those, but that's probably the best reference we have to how his PvT is in longer series.

Well, considering how dead the Protoss is(overall) there's no big fight. Like he has a bright future if his performance stays on the rising line as it is now. But somehow I cannot trust him enough.
Edit> I don't want to say he's bad or shit on him in any way. I just don't know. I've never seen him in a longer series and the map pool isn't exactly the greatest and he's going against a very seasoned players. If he advances, good for him and Protoss, but man, I don't know. Simply doesn't fit with him and advancing in thsi group, sum wrong gut feeling. (maybe it's the dinner, who knows? )
Not sure who to root for today. On one hand, we need more Protoss, on the other hand, I really dont want to watch any more PvZs in the knockouts. Lets go with Heromarine and Showtime then. Sorry Rogue, but Zerg is disgusting, and you dont really need this

Yes. He and TIME went the distance, and TIME himself has looked excellent recently. I think Zoun is at least on par with Showtime and Heromarine at the moment, but I guess we'll see shortly.
