Casters in general are quite big fans of the top EU players. It's like watching the national team in football when they're playing, they're really cheering for "our boys".

Impartial commentary isn't a thing in SC2.
I feel like I've heard these same casters, Rotti in particular, call it more down the line than they did today with Clem. But you could be right.

Even if there's no EU players involved the casts will always lean towards one side. Doesn't even have to be a conscious decision.
Not sure if Clem really has a better chance against Trap than Reynor/Serral. Imo his TvP has to be probably better than his TvZ to beat Trap cross server.

These are the Season Finals which brings together the top players from the different regions, including Korea.

That was the EU regional final that leads into the cross-region final (ft. Korea) which is this week.

I guess it’s hard not to, it’s not even a matter of shared European bias, but ‘guys I know and interact with frequently’ bias sometimes.
I think that’s probably why the Heromarine bias is quite as pronounced as it is, that’s the one I find OTT grating personally, over the general bias which I concede exists but doesn’t cross my particular line.
Clem hype has an element of a genuinely incredibly exciting talent emerging and blossoming too, foreign land is desperately in need of a challenger to the Zerg duopoly
Rogue is just scary as fuck. Unfortunately his games tend to suck so hard that barely anyone likes seeing him winning. But his results if he‘s playing properly are just insane.

Yea I think if Rogue can get his hands on that prize money he's not concerned about making entertaining games, he's concerned with winning.
And boy, does he win, he wins HARD lol poor Special just looked so outclassed T__T
