Dropping adepts/widow mines/banelings is all just d + click on the wp/medivac/overlord. Remind me the last time an adept drop cleared the mineral line in half a second.
A drop won't, but a big shade during an adept push will kill an entire mineral line if it lands before you pull workers.

And is both a much more significant commitment, and much easier seen coming than a +2 baneling drop.

It's also a threat much earlier in the game.
The point is, banelings are hardly the only instant erasers of mineral lines. How are they more of a killjoy than any of the other mechanics that do this? Mines are still definitely worse, given they arrive sooner and the medivac can fly straight over multiple pieces of static D / defending AA units and still get a ton of kills.

Serral is just making it look too easy.

Fair enough. Of course nerfing mine drops would probably make PvT balance worse whereas nerfing baneling drops can only help PvZ balance.

Are mines worse? They take some time to burrow, they are expected and more important most terrans dont use them after 4-6 minute mark while with bane drops they could come any time. More importantly you can queue multiple bane drops in different mineral lines without really having too look. Thats not the same with widow mines. Hell even Serral admitted they are busted, but what can ya do

Against terran you always expect drops so mines are less surprising.
Maybe zerg would still be fine if banelings could not be loaded into dropperlords, because of their volatility lorewise.

I think this Serral guy is pretty good Hope we get at least a bit of hype going when he plays Lambo tomorrow
Group A is going as planned Group B I expected Harstem to be way better. Like 1-4: Gabe, Thermy, Harstem, Drogo in this order Group C Top 3 as expected, 4th is open for grabs Group D ehh Elazer? My predictions were Reynor, Elazer, Mana, Vanya in this order

Absolutly agree with that In Group C Denver is doing better than I thought, but that s pretty much only down to the Showtime - Denver match.

I'm literally rolling on the floor laughing. That game was pure gold.

The cast is a bit awkward tho. Maynarde basically hogging the microphone and Zeph not getting much opportunity to co-cast. First I've heard of her, but it'd be nice if Maynarde gave her some space.

the winrate of ling floods has to be insane. I never see that strategy lose.

I'm underwhelmed by Firefly's performance in this tournament so far. He's put on some way better performances in various other events to the point where I'd have called him the #2 Chinese player without question but this ain't it.

Maynarde and Zeph actually started as a casting archon, I think they won some amateur casting competition back in the day

well, deserved from Silky even if he messed up hilariously that g1. Just not the best version of Firefly in that competition.
