This is the first official announcement of the 2v2 Tournament we'll be hosting, but there is a really cool 2v2 grassroots movement going on, as before we even thought about hosting this, beastyqt's community had helped fundraise $300+ so credit where it's due, and thanks to the fans for helping make this happen!

We will host 4 "Qualifier" Cups in total, 2 focused on North American region and 2 focused on Europe region. Eligibility is open to anyone that is not currently on our blacklist, meaning you can play in all 4 cups if you so choose. In the event that players are caught sneaking into the tournament, they will be removed upon discovery and the bracket they ruined will not be replayed, however a team may be chosen to be invited back and replace them instead of just creating a bye in the brackets.
Map pool will be Ladder maps.
All matches will be Bo3, except for the finals which will be a Bo5.
We will use our "Post Veto" (aka the "F*ck you veto") system with pre-picked maps for each round. If both teams + admin agree, they may substitute the map pick system for one of their own choosing.
Top team from each region will be invited back to the playoffs at our discrection. Please note that winning does not guarantee you a playoffs spot, and in the event the same team wins multiple qualifiers we will invite at our own discretion

Prizing will feature a small $10 reward for the top 8 teams in each cup (paid to the captain of each team via Matcherino).
The playoffs will feature:
1st place team - $400
2nd place team - $200
3rd place team - $80
4th place team - 💩

For those who don't know, Beasty and MaxPax beat Clem and Elazer in the last 2vs2 tournament. Beasty and MaxPax also beat Uthermal and Goblin. Hopefully, we see some top players in this 2vs2 tournament as well. I would like to see Clem and Elazer try to get revenge in this tournament!

Short hint: for qualifier #4 there is a 200$ price for second place finisher, I don't think this is intentional as every other place has only 10$ price

Writing back with some minor updates, we're looking at changing the start time of the EU Cups only to be delayed by +1 hour to compensate for Daylight savings. Players are voting as I write this up and will post the final decision ASAP!

That was fun. Harstem/Denver qualify for the main even beating Uthermal/Goblin 3-1 in the finals! 2 more Na qualifiers and one more EU to decide the new few teams.

Trying to convince my twin brother to sign up with me.. He started playing a week ago

Superfun end to the last qualifier. Serral, Heromarine and many more top guys played in this one. But in the end Uthermal/Goblin beat Bratok/Dimaga 3-0 in the final to take the last qualies spot. Looking forward to the playoffs!

Format for the finals
March 28th

To determine seeding, the day will start with 1x 2v2v2v2 Match, where the winning team gets the advantage of selecting their opponents for the semi-finals.
SemiFinals: Bo5
Finals: Bo5
Bonus Match: 5 Game series (Explained below)
The prizing will be split as follows:
1st place - $500 + Bonus Match**
2nd place - $150
3rd/4th place - $75
**The winning team will play a 5 game defensive series against Beastyqt & MaxPax, where every game is worth $50. If Beasty & MaxPax win, they will steal $50 from the winning team's prize pool, if they lose the champions will defend their $50.
